    Pretty good read: http://www.techradar.com/news/televi...to-know-935647

Gaming on a plasma requires some maintenance early on so the phosphors age evenly. Plasmas handle fast moving image better.

Is it going in a brightly lit room? If so, I'd go with a LCD or LED.

Whats better for gaming 120hz LCD or 120hz LCD? Has the technology changed in the past two years for both in what we can buy now?

      And Finally...

If You go any larger than an 50inch...Whats the best type of TV for gaming beyond that size so that motion blur isn't occurring? Again choice are between LCD LED and Plasma.
I kinda have specific questions above could you be able to elaborate more on them?

First off...a 120Hz LCD tv won't benefit you in gaming because game mode will make the screen 60Hz anyways, which all LCD panels do. If you play with full refresh rates above 60Hz you'll notice a ton of lag.

For gaming, plasma is the way to go. I would recommend the 55st50 Panasonic. If you're set on LCD, go with the 55Lm7600 made by LG.

You forgot to mention you don't have to be in game mode on plasmas. There is no input lag on custom inputs so you can get your set professionally calibrated and not experience input lag. You can't calibrate game mode on LCD.

Not true. The Panasonic models have an anti glare screen now. Looks the same as the new LCD 3d models if not better. My LG LCD has more reflections than my Panasonic does.

I think he just meant that LCD's are usually brighter in general (peak whites are higher than in plasma screens).

Right, but not a true white. 65k is easier to achieve with a plasma. Whites are brighter but too bright.

Most LED LCD TV's allow for Game Mode Calibration. My LED's Game Mode is calibrated

As for brightness LED LCD will always be able to give a higher peak white than plasma.

That's the nature of the technology

Coming from someone who calibrates tv's, most tv's can't be calibrated in game mode because you're not able to do isf standards.

These days, the only downfall to plasmas is bright rooms and most Panasonic's have the anti glare and can be calibrated for bright and dark rooms (day and night setting). I would however highly recommend the ST if I was you, that's what I have.

Sharps HAVE to be calibrated. On the color scale out of the box, they're the worst tv, gamma and all. I'm writing this while in the process of doing a 70 inch Sharp. After calibrating, they're an ok tv, just don't have the lifespan a Samsung or LG has.

Tomba is looking for a good gaming TV & Sharp LED are the probably the best Gaming LED sets around. They offer most minimal gaming lag in Game Mode of any LED on the market 50' or bigger per input lag test done on avs forum
