Can't go wrong with the Panny plasma, especially at that price. Picture quality exceeded my expectations. Only problem is if you can't control the light level in your TV room, with bright light you will see mirror like reflection on dark screen.
It could use more inputs with only 2 HDMI. And I don't like rear firing speakers, but most TVs have those. Those two issues are fixed by my AV receiver.

Awesome tv. The LG LM9600 is the best though. For tv's that are normally priced, the ST, VT, and GT are all the highest rated tv's. Shows how good Panny plasmas are.

The LG LM9600 is not as good as the VT50.....Not sure why you think that

cnet thinks otherwise. 3 out of 5

The good: The LG LM9600 series TV is an incredibly striking piece of furniture with one of the slimmest bezels we've ever seen. Color reproduction is excellent, after a bit of tweaking. The Magic Motion controller has its quirks but is the best Smart TV navigator out there. The feature set is excellent, and passive 3D is virtually crosstalk-free.

The bad: The LM9600 doesn't perform up to its flagship TV pricing or the expectations created by its full-array local-dimming backlight. Its black levels are significantly worse than those of last year's LG flagship, it suffers from blotchy uniformity, and in shadow detail it lags behind other high-end sets.

The bottom line: While it's got supermodel looks and pricing to match, the LG LM9600 is unfortunately only an amateur performer.

And if you look below the VT50 is the editor's top pick. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars

I hope youre talking about the 84 inch. If not, it's a different tv.

Which model do you have? I can calibrate a model sometime this weekend and give you the settings if it's a tv we carry.

The 84 inch is Edge Lit and not OLED the 55 is OLED but neither comes close to reference level picture of the Plasma

The specs on the 84 is 4K resolution and that is fine and dandy but nothing uses that kind of resolution at the moment and it is extremely prices just for the sexy look of the frame. the fact that it has the following issues makes it a light weight compared to the VT50 plasma which is as close to reference level since the Kuro

                            Lows
Severe edgelight bleeding without local dimming
                            Some screen uniformity issues
                            Vertical banding anomaly
                            Expensive

Not to mention the OLED is only $11,600. While a 65" VT50 is 3,500. It better be a better TV considering it cost $8000 more.

Do I need to worry about my son and his friend having a five hour gaming session on my new plasma? They'd be playing WWE 13 with a couple static images on the screen. My fear is burn in as I have less than 15 hours viewing on the television.
