Of all the top tv companies, Samsungs have the highest failure rate %. Sony being #1, followed by Panasonic, LG, then Samsung, with Sharp just behind them. Best to worst...

I was referring to Samsung line of TV'S but Panasonic does not make better LED tv's then Samsung Their Plasma tv's were better even though Samsungs last Plasma is fantastic and highly rated.

I never had a failed Samsung set.

My choice came between Sony and Samsung but I picked Samsung due to better motion resolution and grayscale.

Sony LED tv's at least their top end are very nice as well

But I cant mess with a thick led with speakers attached...

Not at all. To be honest I dont even see it...Just looks like a flat tv on my wall Only when viewing from side where it is really pronounced.

Black levels are inky and contrast is super nice

There might be some science behind it. Your movie theater screen is curved slightly, but I believe that's so the picture coming off the projector is displayed without stretching.

I didn't know that movie theater screen are slightly curved. How long do you guys think it will be before the stander price for a 4k 50-55 inch tvs are $800-100? 4k is what I am interested in but I know a lot of them are pretty expinse compared to regular 1080p right now. I now that the first 50 inch 4k $1000 one came out but most are a lot more then that.

Breaking Bad in 4k has made me start re-watching the entire series. It is crazy to imagine what a true 4k image is going to look like on blu ray. Just streaming remastered 4k looks unreal. I noticed that Netflix is adding quite a few new movies/tv shows lately.

Not right now I figured after the lamp dies in my tv for a second time has I just replaced it at the begging of last year. That I will probly try to get a 4k tv 50-55 inch 3D TV has right now I have a 37 inch 720p upscale 1080p tv and would like to go bigger next time and I am sure they will go down in price some more. I know that tv you said is the first 4k tv at 50 to be $1000 most 4k tvs at 50inch are still a lot more. I know just in the last year or so 4k tvs have started going down has before that they where still really expeinsive. So it will be a few more years before I probly want to get a new tv maybe by then there will be more things in 4k and yes 4k dose look great form what I have seen. I know HDTV have went down a lot in the last 4 years or so and just wondering when we will see something simuler with 4k. I just hope by then that good 4k 3d TV of 50-55 will be 1000 or less and maybe even 60inch tvs.
