Hisense is not a good HDR tv and input lag at 4K is 52 to 55ms which is not good

RTINGS does actual test and post their test which is why they are highly respected for testing. Look at the test from what i mention and see the results posted

Yet they also claim is the same tv....They wont call it a slam dunk better set and neither did I. All I said was that the contrast, brightness, and motion blur along with a bit better input lag is on the curved set. I owned both and returned the 8000 for the 85000 due to the motion blur alone which was bugging me...When to watch the set and noticed the brightness and contrasts was a bit more apparent and checked the stats on RTINGS and confirmed it

Is it a drastic diff? No but for the extra 100 I paid which is in most places those bumped specs are enough

Thanks to this thread, I am now the owner of a 49" ks8000. I needed this like I needed a hole in my head lol. I'm coming from a Panasonic plasma pz700u that is 9 years old, which I love, but I've been wanting to upgrade to 4K for a few months now. I was hesitant as I've always been partial to plasmas. But so far, I'm pretty impressed with the ks8000. I have a PS4 pro and can't wait to set it up. I appreciate all the good advice in this thread.

You maybe correct with the numbers.

But if your going numbers wise. Ratings.com gave the Hisense ratings of

8.3 in gaming and 7.5 in HDR gaming. If the input lag was that bad I'm sure this site you like would have gave lower scores in the gaming part. I'll have this set and this is why I bought it, cause ratings.com included this set is there picks for gaming set of 2016.

Thats correct , this is why I'm honestly getting drained reading all the noise about input lag. If your set looks good for you and your not see anything that is bothering you then just game and be happy. Some guys on here just seem to be justifying there set over others by the site reviews. Yeah I read up on my set before I bought but I don't have any issues or see and input lag and I'm happy , thats all.

Hey I have a noob question of all noob questions, forgive me.

All HDMI cables are the same, right? As far as image quality goes, at least? I am using the cable that came with my PS4 Pro and I am convincing myself not to stress about getting a "fancy expensive" HDMI cord to boost image quality. The signal is the same cable to cable and the only difference between cables would be in regards to durability, right?

No, not all are the same. In fact, I'd recommend this one that I have (I own maybe seven or eight of these).

If you're not convinced, let me show you a few reviews that should sway your decision:

At first I was hesitant to pick up such an expensive cable for my new HDTV. My wife pleaded with me saying "Why are you spending more money on the cables than you did on the TV?" Well who has the last laugh now?

When I first opened the packaged I was surprised how heavy the AudioQuest Diamond 3.3' High-Speed HDMI Cable was, it almost pulled the TV down off of the wall, but I assumed that was just quality manufacturing. A few hours later when the shear weight of the cable brought my television (along with the wall mount and drywall) crashing to the floor did I really see the value of the AudioQuest Diamond 3.3' High-Speed HDMI Cable.

When I sifted through the rubble I noticed the HDMI cable had been ripped and diamonds were poring out onto the floor! I quickly scooped them up and brought them to the nearest pawn shop! I was told the diamonds had a value close to $25,000 but since they needed to be framed and would sit around the shop for a while we negotiated down to $1500, an almost $500 profit!

I spend my days now going from Best Buy to Best Buy in search of more AudioQuest Diamond 3.3' High-Speed HDMI Cable. My pawn shop guy continues to buy the loose diamonds from me, it's a wonderful arrangement. I think I'm going to be able to afford a PS4 and Xbox One for Christmas this year!
A hefty price tag, but you won't be disappointed. Once I opened the package, I immediately noticed the ground shaking as Angels in heaven sang. Once I plugged this glorious cable from my Blu-Ray to my HDTV, I was literally blown away. The sound, picture, and quality was too amazing. It simply blew my house down, my walls, fixture, and furniture all literally exploded, leaving me homeless. Was it worth it? Yes. I was able to experience true quality with a touch of class.
After a few months I have finaly saved up to buy this cable... lets just say I am thrilled! Definately worth the buy, it is a very pretty cable. Now I am saving up for my TV.
After my girlfriend moved out and took my HDMI cable with her (Leia, if you're reading this, you can keep it), I walked into Best Buy looking for a replacement. My eyes met this cable, and I tapped out my entire life savings to buy it. And let me tell you, broski, it was well worth it! Not only does this cable give me an absolutely amazing picture, but ever since I bought it, things have been totally going my way! My boss finally started acknowledging all my hard work, I've gotten legions of fans all over the world, and I won the United States Championship! Ever since I bought this cable, I've been fist-pumping all day and all night! I am serious, bro! Buy this cable now and your life will be SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK like mine!
"I bought this HDMI cable around Christmas time. Even though I just had a small 20-inch vacuum tube television and VCR-laserdisc combo player, my favorites immediately were up-converted to High Definition. I've honestly never seen Mulan like that before. Now I don't have to imagine what it would have been like to face the Huns - I can experience it every Thursday night in the comfort of my own home.

After inviting a few neighbors over to verify what I was seeing (I'm a skeptic at heart), me and my TV experience became the talk of the block. Women started dropping off fresh-baked cookies and men were lining up to mow my lawn just to see the picture quality. My life at home has been transformed. I finally feel like I have a place where I belong. "

                        LOL at those comments.

For a second there I wasn't even sure I was being trolled. That's hilarious. The "girlfriend moved out" one had me rolling

Ok, but yeah, I read awhile ago that HDMI cables are the same I was just triple checking to make sure something hadn't changed recently

1,100 for an HDMI cable is insane. The difference can't be worth paying that kind of price.

Edit: Missed the spoiler tag at the bottom. Well played.

I left it at 10, which is what my tv can show. It allowed me to put it to 12 but I wouldn't think it would work properly.
