Not always true. I recently applied for a Discover and they told me it would take more time. I then was approved for $7000.

I also had an annoying issue where the ks8000 would just have intermittent judders/stutters every 1 or 2 minutes while watching tv and movies and I tried to do everything I could to correct it, but I read online that this is a common issue with this TV. And NYGiants4Fanactic also indicated he had the same issue.

The 4k on the set was a definite upgrade over my 1080p plasma for resolution. But my plasma won out over the ks8000 in everything else, so I returned the ks8000. I am gaming on my plasma and a 4k monitor (to get my 4k fix). I am going to wait until next fall to check out new tvs and consider another 4k set. OLED is also another consideration for next year, but the input lag has been all over the place so far on these sets. I am bummed that plasmas are gone because having a 4k plasma would have been incredible.

Many people who complained about judder were on directv. Idk why but that's how it was on AVSforums. I had a 2011 Panasonic plasma and as much as I loved that tv there's no way in hell I'd stick with that. After doing 4K HDR I can't go back. I've never ever noticed any judder during gaming or Netflix. I only noticed it on some cable channels and I was able to fix most of it. After looking at my plasma I feels way too dated. I watch movies on either blu ray, Netflix or Hbo go and game all the time and don't have any judder issues at all.

Been reading the posts. Fair to say the 65 inch choice for 4K HDR is the Samsung ks8000 to be used for gaming (mostly sports titles) and movies?

The 8 series is great for gaming and sports. Movies would probably be better on the 850D but both are great sets. I would say if you do more gaming/sports then go with the 8000, it's the better all around set.

Pretty sure I'm going to buy a new TV today with these Best Buy black friday deals going on.

I like the Samsung TVs, but they have Sony TV 4K HDR for $1000 that comes with a PS4 PRO.

I already have a PS4 PRO so i can always sell that and recoup $3-400.

Hmmm....I also like the LG, not sure on the OLED just due to price, although its a gorgeous tV, but they also have an LG Quantum Dot TV with 4K HDR around 1100 as well.

If you play online shooters, you should get the Samsung. If you don't, the others should be OK. If you play The Show and don't get the Samsung be prepared to drop the Pitch Speed slider as well, due to the input lag.

I'm not into shooters. Mainly Sports and fighting games using a fight stick and yes, Big into The Show.
