That's weird you say better blacks than the ks8000 since the overall consensus at AVSforums is that the blacks on the 930D are bad and some even call it grey not black. There's even a couple of guys on the ks8000 forum who returned their 930Ds for the ks8000. Rtings even agrees the blacks aren't deep and the ks8000 kills this set in that area. Even the Vizio P is rated having deeper black levels. Motion blur is better on the 930D and I haven't tried Android OS, but I'm sure it's pretty good. The ks8000 has better grey uniformity, lower input lag and a wider color gamut also.

While that may be true, I have no regrets going with my 930D over the 8000.

For the guys who play in game mode, do you leave you it at default settings and just play, meaning that you leave all TV settings default game

Got a healthy tax refund this year and decided to use a portion of it to upgrade the TV.

I have a 46" Samsung Series 5 HDTV (1080p) that I got a few years back (2014?). No real problems with it.

I just bought a 55" Vizio SmartCast M-Series 4KTV (2160p) 120 Hz for $698. It was discounted by about $300 and I was looking for an entry level 4K set. It had good customer reviews and I think even some magazine awards maybe.

Anyhow, looking forward to it being shipped this week...does anyone own this model or have anything to say about it?

Also happy to say I've cut the cord and am rolling with PS Vue.

Just make sure you're happy with the tablet remote, also not to rain on your parade, but that set isn't native 120 hz, if that's not an issue, then I hope you enjoy it.

The consensus is which series Samsung again? 8500 or something like that?

Buying one in a week or two. I'd appreciate model numbers for 60" & 65" models (straight not curved).

Samsung ks8000 or the LG OLED B6 which has even better motion blur.

                      Thanks for the feedback.

I don't know what the difference is between native 120 Hz and not native 120 Hz, so it should suit me ok. I've also seen conflicting info on 60 Hz vs 120 Hz for this model. Depending on the source of information, it'll say either 60 Hz or 120 Hz or 120 Hz (Clear Action 360)--all 3 being mentioned for the same size TV. I guess I'll figure that out for sure when the TV shows up, lol.

As for the tablet, I doubt I'll use it. I plan on programming the TV to my PS4 universal remote that I just got.

All reviews I've seen point to this TV being a nice entry level 4K unit that someone who isn't a technophile would be satisfied with. The reviews all go on about it being a good value at ~$1000 (I'm getting it for $700) and having some features (dimming, contrast, 20-25 ms gaming input lag) on par with more expensive models. We'll see how it works out I guess.

I have read alot about this TV and many of the functions need done through the tablet and can't be done through a remote so not sure if your are aware of that.

Realize that this TV doesn't have many functions built into it regards to remote interface so that's why a tablet is required and is comes with it. This is the main reason that the tv is so much cheaper for what you get (technically is not a TV since it had no Tiber but actually a display)

One thing to note as well though, you don't necessarily have to use their tablet, you can get the app for your phone or a tablet got already own.

My TV remote usage is pretty basic...ON/OFF, volume up/down, change inputs to gaming HDMI port and back is all I really need. The universal remote already controls PS Vue decently well. I'm also not a big app user on the TV so the universal remote (or even the basic, generic remote that comes with the TV) can probably handle most/all of what I need. I am also curious to see if I dislike the "2 screens" thing as much as the reviewers seemed to. Maybe using a tablet remote won't bother me as much.

As for having no tuner, that shouldn't affect me because I haven't done anything 'over the air' in about 15-20 years. lol.

The big draw for me here is getting a bit bigger of a screen than I have, upping from 1080p to 4K, and not spending a month's pay in doing so. And aside from the remote (seems to be the main con people mention) and the brightness not being on par with some of the multi-thousand dollar sets, I haven't really seen anything to dislike.

Should be here by Thursday and then there's no going back to mere HD. lol

I would love it, I use my tablet to control all my stuff anyways. I think the reviewers are just set in their ways and aren't open to change.

What is the specific model number of the KS8000 line in 60"?

That's the model I'm going to buy I think. I'm torn between the 60" and the 65".

UN65KS8000 or the UN60KS8000, get the bigger model, you will always regret if you don't. I'm getting the 65"
