    How about this one?

It says 'Premium HDR'. Does that mean HDR10?

From the review on rtings.com, it's not HDR proper. The tv doesn't get bright enough to do it. But you will get some version of it, similar to my JU7500 from last year that had it added via firmware update.

If you want true HDR, you need to pony up alot more money or go with a Vizio or Sony 800 series, but those TVs have higher than ideal input lag in HDR mode.

Correct. If you want HDR in a Samsung, you need the 8000/8500, 9000/9500 or 9800.

Man I really should have thought I was buying a new TV a week ago...

I don't really care about the low quality 4K and HDR in this price range. As long as it has good 1080P performance. Anything in the 50"-55" range is what I am going for.

LG 55LH575A - 55" 1080P 60hz - Cost before tax = $325- RTINGS says it performs below average with sports. I know the blurriness would bug both of us, but $325 is hard to beat!

Hisense 55H8C - 55" 4K - Best TV under $500 according to RTINGS. Although it's $549 at BB right now -_- 'WTF' had good reviews a few pages back

Samsung UN50J6200AFXZA 50" 1080P - $499 - Supposed to perform better with sports. 50" is plenty big for the space.

These are some more expensive options I might consider. I really wouldn't mind one of the cheaper sets above.

Would BB price match that pricing? I get discounts through work to all kinds of places. I can get it pulled up, but if they just went to the site on their PC it wouldn't show.

I kept flip flopping and I'm going to go back to my original line of thinking...I'll wait till next year's OLED models. If I'm going to spend the money to get that tv, I'm going to want it with zero compromises. I don't want to put blind faith in LG patching in lower input lag in HDR than the current fluctuating 40-60ms.

This also gives me time to save up for the 65" instead of the 55". But after watching countless videos, I definitely want an OLED panel for my next TV and I'm hoping LG brings it next year for us gamers. Back to my JU7500 I go.

So funny and annoying story. So yesterday was my second day with the KS8000 55 inch TV and first time really getting to look at settings and such has it was late by the time I got my TV set up on Monday night and had to spend part of yesterday getting my video game system set up. When I was going threw the settings last night I would see the screen dim after like 5 seconds and I was thinking why is it doing this? Why are my settings not sticking? Did I get a lemon lol. After hours and hours and staying up much later then I should have I found out that the TV has power saving type of settings and that those settings are on and that if you have them on the TV will dim. Once I turned them off the TV stopped doing that and I was able to make my settings stick. I also watched a bluray movie last night in Captain America Civil war and the movie looked really good much better then my old 720p upscale 1080p TV would look when watching a bluray.

Next thing you'll have to do is try watching a 4K movie.

Don't have a 4k player would like to get one but waiting for them to get down too around $150. Also a lot of 4k movies cost like 10 more then bluray version of movie.

That's true, unless you already have an Xbox One S. I think the cheapest 4K player out there is about $200 by Samsung. As far as 4K movies, I've seen the prices range from $15-35.

Give the YouTube app on the set a try. Search HDR Videos and enjoy

Also make sure UHD Color is set to ON all you inputs. This is how you get HDR working on your TV

While I am seeing a lot of 4k bluray movies are like 30 that are like 20 on bluray and yeah I have seen that about Samsung and the $200 and like a week or few days ago they where giving away a $10 gift card at best buy with it and there was the $25 check out thing that lasted for only like a day and with that and the gift card after taxes you where basically paying like 175 for the player. I almost gave in to that lol.
