Luckily I haven't unpacked it yet. If I do I'll upgrade to the 55". Could save some others $50 though.

Edit - They price matched it. I must be cheap, the guy sounded surprised I wanted my $17 refund lol

But really they didn't price match. You paid the same for an open box item and as a new factory sealed item. You still got the short end of the stick.

Good point, the warranty is still fully valid though. If I hadn't paid for it with a lot of gift cards I probably would have just gone ahead and ordered it new and returned the old one, but then I'd be paying $400 out of pocket instead of just $230ish. FWIW the open box one is Geek Squad Certified, which probably just means it turns on lol.

It's not that big of a deal, but I know why it would bother some people. I did it yesterday. The ads are very small and only visible on the smart hub on the corner. I hope if many people complain they'll get rid of it.

Yeah, it's very small. Most won't even notice I'm sure.

These ads won't cause some type of 'burn in' issue will they?

It's sad but it's just what I expect out of everything.

Ads pop up constantly in every feature of my technology. I don't think it's going away any time soon.

                      Anyone have experience with vizio's. I saw a 70-inch 4K at Sam's pub earlier today at 900.

Out of LG, Sony, Samsung and Vizio, I'd rank Vizio last. What you probably say was a 70" E series, which would fall along the same lines as the 6300 Samsung. If it's this one, it's also native 60 hz.

If you watch a lot of sports, you'll want one that does 120 hz native.

I love Vizio. And remember, you won't have a Sony or Samsung in your house to compare it to. I do agree only get a 120hz screen though, especially with sports. 60hz in HD with fast moving sports looks bad IMO.
