Scott, you still at Bestbuy? Do you think the LG C8 will be on sale during Black Friday?

Possibly, it's really hard to say..Your best bet is to buy the week before Black Friday, prices always go back up for Black Friday, since Black Friday is mainly for cheap tvs..

Wow the c8 is amazing. I really don’t have anything to compare it too but I’m in tv heaven right now.

Any movie you guys recommend to show off the new OLED? I’m thinking Ready Player One is a good start

OLED over LCD all day any day. Though QLED is another thing entirely. Wish I had the money for that.

Always! OLED over anything else. QLED is just Quantum dot LCD. Still the same LCD limitations.

That is a blanket statement without knowing the truth.

QLED is not just LCD....There are different types of LCD's/ FALD is the top 2 QLED models and they are not the same as LCD

Yes OLED is the best picture but it has serious limitations as well. No tv is perfect and for gaming OLED is not in the same field as QLED FALD

QLED offers the following

Free Sync (xbox owners)
Game Motion Plus ( allows PRO and X owners to interpolate 30fps games to look 60fps by doubling the FPS. Same for 60fps games can be interpolated to 120fpz

Superior brightness which makes all games look fantastic and not select games look like trash due to the injected nit level of games.

Also the dynamic tone mapping on the QLED FALD tops the C8 tone mapping for HDR gaming.

The input lag is lower and did I mention all resolutions are supported for PC and X owners. If someone wants to do 1080p on their x they can do it with native 120hz

You ask if no games are over 60fps? Yes that is fact but 120hz native from console makes 30fps or 60fps games at 1080p or 1440p on the pc and X to have no judder unlike all other tvs not QLED

Upscaling is superior on the QLED over the OLED

If you game a ton on your tv the QLED is the best tv for that purpose

For everything else OLED is superior

Those that play just on the PRO the QLED and NU8000 models of at least 55 inches or more have these awesome gaming features

Go put God of War on performance 60fps mode and turn on game motion plus and max out both the dejudder and blur reduction to 10 and that will interpolate the 60fps to 120fps and it feels so smooth with the combination of a native 120hz panel and now feeding it game motion plus. U will not regret it

going from a 30fps game to 60fps requires the dejudder to be maxed to 10 but the blur reduction lowered to 0 and that interpolates the 30fps games to 60fps

but this will cause some artifacts when panning the camera, it will look great but the 60fps game to 120hz is where it shines the best

and the input lag is 20ms for interolating from 30fps to 60fps and 26ms when doing it from 30fps to 60fps

Once again, where did I say that OLED is not better than LCD or QLED? Please show me where I said that. You seem to be in your feelings about your panel when I have the same damm tv you have and the QLED.

I said for gaming the QLED is a better choice and that is FACT. Yea MS parntered with Samsung for free sync. So does that not make it valuable for gaming? And I stated for Sony PS4 PRO fans the auto motion gaming features on the QLED make gaming superior than OLED.

You are stuck on contrast and blacks. Yes that is fantastic for movie watching and tv watching. I love my OLED...But I rather game on the QLED for superior brightness, no image rention posibilities, better tone mapping, and superior gaming features for both x and pro.

Does that make OLED bad for gaming? Heck no it is an awesome gaming tech, but I prefer the QLED for the reason mention which gamers would agree

Lol oh OS. Let the pissing match begin. Any way I decided to pull the trigger on the Sony 65 a9f Scott. And then also get the Sony sound bar for $1200. I liked the way it sounds at Best Buy. I was tempted to get the 77 Sony but that is too big for my wall spot. So I will go get it today and I am thinking of having it mounted. I don’t know if all Sony’s have that tilt back but I don’t know how I feel about that.

Yep but until they can get 75" or larger price down, there is no competition. You can buy 2 65" C8s for less than the 77" version.
