Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Look at the Beam. You could add 2 Ones for surrounds or a sub for the price of the arc. I use them in 2 larger bedrooms and they are great. It's no where near a surround system by itself but with the Ones it is supposed to sound great.

The beam is fine for a bedroom, I just wouldn’t use it in the living room.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Thank you guys for your inputs. Ive thought about the Beam but it doesnt support eARC from what ive read and my bedroom is was too small for extra back speakers or a sub, and I havent seen any other comparable options, so I think the Arc will end up being my buy.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
So I just end up getting the LG CX 55 inch tv upgrading from the Samsung ks8000 55 inch led tv I had for about 4 years and 6 months. I had been thinking about it for a whole and was thinking its to costly but stimulus checks man lol. Just got it hocked up and now looking at settings and such. I can tell sound is a lot better then the ks8000. I do have a sound bar I have been using for several years though.Last edited by Smallville102001; 05-19-2021, 10:10 PM.Comment

43” Q60 by Samsung in that price range. 49” 900h would be best.
Nevermind: they didn’t do the 900h in 49”, only the 950.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I have a few more questions hopefully you can answer for me.
1) Are the TV's you listed 2021 models?
2) Do they have native 120Hz and is that important for the PS5 and the Series X?
3) I've noticed some TV's have something called 120Hz TruMotion is that acceptable for the Series X as it's trying to achieve 4K at 120Hz?
4) I've read that HiSense, TCL, Vizio are good budget options, are they or are they junk?
5) If a TV says QLED is that a quantum LED TV for deeper blacks and is that basically the same as a "dimming zone"?
6) LG is now advertising NanoLED TV's, is that better than traditional LED's?
7) I failed to mention Sony Bravia, is that in the same ballpark as the TV's you mentioned?
Sorry for all the ?'s because i'm still using an 8 yr old Samsung 1080p TV.Comment

1) The Q60A is available in a 43”, that’s a 2021 model.
2) The smallest screen you can get that’s 120 hz is the LG 48” OLED
3) 120Hz Tru Motion=60 hz
4) They aren’t the worst options
5) Quantum dot technology just means you have more accurate colors
6) Nope, The NanoLED is their version of a LED TV.
7) You can get the new X95J available in a 49”
