The album is ok. It's disappointing because I think The cool and FnL were classics.

I'm a fan of lupe so he can flow on anything and I'll think its good. I hope he gets to work with different producers and get back at being raw.

After listening to this for a few days it's really grown on me.

I think this is Lupe at about 70% capacity which for me is still better 90% of the other rappers out there. Sure it's not in the same league as The Cool or Food and Liquor but it's still a pretty cool album if you ask me and I don't regret buying it.

This is how I feel. I like the album too.

Till I Get There is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It really picks me up when I'm in a down mood.

Lupe is doing an autograph signing at FYE in Chicago next Thursday (7-9 PM). I'm going to go, and am expecting it to be a complete zoo. Hopefully I get an autograph.

It's out breh. "Shining Down", "All Black Everything", "I'm Beamin" and "The Show Goes On" still get a lot of play on custom playlists but that about it.

Hip-Hop DX review speaks the truth:

"Only traces of Lupe Fiasco's greatness are present on Lasers, and even then he sounds less focused."

People are getting caught up in what it was supposed to be or what it should have been...although the last part kind of hurt me myself...it's sad to see Lupe lose...but can you even really blame it on him??? Fans wanted the album, and Lupe couldn't deliver the album that both he and his fans wanted...sure he compromised, but surely he will bounce back, because lasers do not lose after all

This album is still a 3 1/2 or even a 4 with the bonus tracks.

But not to say it all isn't true- if you want to considers ifs and all...and some of it is disheartening...2 ways sounded amazing when he did it live...but with all the production...it kind of drowns the song, it is still great though nonetheless.

It's already been well established that 90% of this album is what Lupe wanted. I wish people would stop making excuses for him. Its a 2.5/3 mic album , which at the end of the day is ok. If you ask me Lupe has been a ***** about this whole situation. He's playing himself and worse of all he's playing his fans.

Except a large part of the album is good though- just a different sound which I guess some people don't like and I don't blame them, a year ago I definitely wouldn't like the positive stuff that I could actually listen to in the car or hear on the radio possibly. It is just a couple of songs like the Trey Songz song, Break the Chains(which some people like), State Run Radio(once again another some like) and the bonuses are great. Some people were just expecting another album- a lyrically deep album about the world's problems and regular day problems of the down-trodden. But where the lyrics fall- the sheer sound of the songs make up for, they are entertaining songs with some interesting lines and all...and if this deserves a 2.5/3 rating...then why in the world is RECOVERY a 4...

Like I said...you shouldn't be rating the album on past Lupe albums or the problems that came about the albums, but if you are saying that THIS??? is what is brought after 3 years or how it divulges from what was the original mantra...it's definitely not on par with F&L or The Cool but it is a good album in its own way.

I can't speak on Recovery because im not a fan of Eminem. But I think what hurts Lasers more then anything is that its over produced. I'm not rating the album based off of past albums. I'm rating it based off of what I think it is. At the end of the day I got 5 songs on my Ipod from it. Just happy I was able to listen to it first before I went out and bought it. I wanted to support Lupe but like I said before. His *****ing and acting like he's a victim changed that for me.

Yea, I work right down the street from FYE. I was gonna roll over there to to support. Check it out though, anyone on here ever heard of Gemstones? Formerly Gemeni. He was apart of the FNF crew and had a few appearances on Lupe's last album. He was on the "Dumb it Down" song and a few other joints.
