True, but that's not what I mean.

I just mean in her seeing that there's a connection to her and that woman. That's all. Not saying in seeing Dexter is a serial killer. That's a huge leap.

Right now, Deb is saying everything and not seeing anything. Travis's sister is her and Deb should be able to say to her therapist: "Wow, I'm as ****ed up as she was."

I'm guessing it's LaGuerta's superior, the dad from Unhappily Ever After.

        Love that Unhappily connection.

        Deputy Chief Matthews. It's possible.

Dexter always does this. They throw in this random case near the end of the show that will end up getting resolved, but always puts Dexter in a bind with his current affairs.

Now Dexter is gonna have to kill DDK while also worrying about sister Deb. This episode was just the catalyst for that event. Dexter is trying to push off Deb time and time again, Deb needs him and eventually, it's going to come together where Dexter is gonna need to choose for real.

          Re: Dexter (Season 6)

It was a decent episode, but it does feel like the payoff has been building too slow. IMO easily the best part was the Deb-Dexter thing, seems like for a while now off and on she should be suspicious and she still isn't but Dexter does something completely unlike him (going to Nebraska after learning of Trinity "striking again", taking off 5 days without any notice or anything) and luckily they didn't ignore that.

I keep thinking it, but it does seem like the next 2 (and of course the last two) are going to be big episodes, they have quite a lot to finish developing. (Louis-Dexter, Dexter-Deb, DDK, now the coverup by Laguerta for ? person)

I've been wary about Dexter off and on last 2 seasons but this at least feels like a good development with Deb and with the therapist at minimum she is going to realize that they don't do a lot of stuff normal brother-sisters do and that she really doesn't know him as well as she thought. (in reality of course quite little)

That's what I originally thought as well, but then I thought about the previous scene where LaGuerta was looking for Angel and thought there was something to that. Plus, we all seen that he wasn't too happy about losing out on that promotion.

On another note, Travis and Professor Gellar have been pretty lame as villains. At the start of the season I waited before rushing to any judgements, but we're past the halfway point and every time they're on screen I just don't feel that interested. They've had some really cool kills, but they're development has been way too slow.

Also, what was the point of that hot blonde girl that was Masuka's assistant early in the season? At this point it seems like she's just going to disappear into thin air.

Maybe she did, I do get a creepy vibe from the new guy.

Don't know if I can get with it being Angel LaGuerta was talking to, it would be a major left field character turn. My guess would be a politician, mayor or something, and LaGuerta is making for a power grab. If it was the captain what's his face, he would have gone to Deb himself and not involved a conniving LaGuerta that just got done blackmailing him.

That's another thing. I don't think it's Matthews because he hand-picked Deb and was happy to promote her.

It's unlikely it is Angel because it would be such a left field turn, but that's how I see it.

I too think it was Bautista that LaGuerta was talking to. I forget if it was in the first or second season,
but if I am not mistaken...

I don't see how it could be Angel. He's too much of a stand up guy.

I'm guessing its Laguertta's superior. She got the promotion because she covered up something dealing with a black book he had, a black book of Hoe's numbers is probably what it is. Quinn also looked suspicious not being at the crime scene.

You still haven't shared your theory. Don't think we are gonna give you credit if it goes down and you say: "I knew it!"

Nah, you gotta share it before it happens to count!

I'm guessing, at least as far as the hot assistant goes, that he's referring to the title of episode 11.

The season is playing out like I feared unfortunatley. By trying to make Geller seem real they are making it that much more obvious he's imaginary, especailly in terms of when Travis gets hit by the shovel and burned they make it a point only to show only one of the characters and not both in the scene.

And would someone please kill Deb and put us out of our misery, she is becoming the most annoying character in TV history and she is making me miss Rita as the female influence in Dex's life and i never thought I would say that.

One really annoying thing of late is how sloppy Dex is becoming and I don't think it's the character arc, I think it's just sloppy writing. Why would he drive right up to the church and then slam the car door shut so Travis could hear him. He's gonna have a hard time killing people in the future if he makes himself so conspicous. And I still don't understand how he found out about the church location (the priest happened to head the same church that the killer uses? Really??? Again a huuuuge coincidance). He's got the best luck in the world. The guy should be buying lottery tickets rather than killing people.

I don't understand where they are going with Geller. When they wrote this stuff did they think the audience couldn't see what appears to be an obvious nonexistent Geller or are they trying to throw a very lame curve ball that finds him alive? Or is Geller dead and someone else messing with Travis?

Nah, I love Deb. Rita was the real drag on the show, but did provide us with a great moment.

Wasn't there a connection between the priest and Gellar? Lucky yes, but not lottery lucky.

If you want to talk about sloppy Dexter what about the Nebraska hotel matches that he decides to take back to Miami?
