Re: Official Rock music thread
Then the guy on Octane on XM doesn't know his **** lol.
Has anyone ever heard of Parabelle? It has the old lead singer of Evans Blue, Kevin Matisyn, as well as the producer/guitarist from Framing Hanley.
Here is probably my favorite song from them, but most of their work is good. Its a mix of some hardcore, some mellow, but great vocals regardless.

Re: Official Rock music thread
The local Rock station here in Rochester just announced it's annual Bonzai Fest concert lineup:
Oberhofer
Walk The Moon
The Gaslight Anthem
Our Lady Peace
Eve 6
The Offspring
Totally going cause I've loved each of the last 3 bands for 10-15 years. Haven't really listened to The Gaslight Anthem much but I do like what I've heard by them. Haven't heard of the other 2 bands though.

Re: Official Rock music thread
Fastball....
A group that I personally like alot and are criminally under the radar. They are best known for their song "The Way". A good song, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they haven't become a mainstream hit outside of that song. They could probably be classified as Adult Contempary these days, as they aren't hard rock by any means. Alot of melody and harmonized vocals (Kind of Beatles like). Anyways, here's a couple of their well known tracks off their most off their most well know album "All The Pain Money Can Buy"

I would also highly recommend their cd Keep Your Wig On.Comment

Really? Their last album I listened to (Zeitgeist) was horrid. Hoping this one is a little better. I see they've actually come out with something that I missed. Anyone have an opinion on that one?Last edited by ImTellinTim; 06-05-2012, 12:42 PM.Comment

Re: Official Rock music thread
I'm sorry, but it's not the Smashing Pumpkins anymore. Much like Guns N Roses/Rose, it's Corgan milking the group name for big bucks. I can't wait for Breaking Benjamin's Burnley to do the same. When there is only one remaining original member, it's time to call it a day and start a solo project. Wait...Corgan and Rose tried and couldn't make money, so they continued in their former bands name.
