Canadian. $1299 plus tax, plus the warranty.
I am the lesson after the fall.

That's why I have one in my room. Went super cheap with a $249 LG that I got for $99 during the Target sell off (if you happened to see that on SD a few months ago).

Yep....saw that. I had already picked up a Panasonic soundbar & sub combo so I passed on the LG.

I need some outdoor speaker advice.

Replacing some 12 year old Infinity Outrigger speakers at a house. Best Buy preferred for discount purposes. My thinking is I should just go with a mid-range in price set with the longest warranty. They are being powered by am Onkyo receiver.

Does Sonos have any outdoor speakers that could do wireless to about 300 feet? Not a requirement for the above speaker request. Just exploring options for where we can run wireless.

You can get a Sonos Connect ($275-300 if you look around) and turn any existing sound system into a Sonos system. I have 2 of them attached to different sound systems I already had and they work great. You'll also need a Sonos bridge which is pretty cheap ($20-30 used on Amazon) My only complaint is that Sonos still hasn't created an app for streaming Amazon Prime music.

Otherwise, not sure how many other different options there are. Do you not want to go with bluetooth speakers?

I'm only interested in a single Sonos speaker if any of their technology can transmit about 300 feet. It'd be for a single speaker on our boat dock. There would be no where to power or store a bridge unless a palm tree can start producing power [emoji14]

The other 6 are just being replaced and all the wiring is in place. No need to go Bluetooth on those and potentially have to deal with syncing issues when wiring is in place.

300+ feet is a no go then.

Can anyone point me in the direction of solid headphones in the $50-$75 range? You guys led me to these (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=operasport-20) 18 months ago and I lost them in a taxi. Just wanted to make sure there isn't a better deal out there before I repurchase.

I really love the V-Moda brand. The M-80 is in that price range.

Bought the Superlux HD668B along with some replacement velour pads. The pads came later so I had about two weeks with the default ones.

With those, they sounded quite good but were essentially unusable for extended periods of time. Complete sweat magnets.

However, when the replacement pads came, it was a whole new world. Everything sounds great, and now they're comfortable as well. The pads and the cans total were around 45-50 bucks. I'd definitely recommend them, but only with the replacement pads.

I suggest people check out massdrop if they are looking to score a nice pair of cans. They drop the beyerdynamic, AKGs, Sonys, and other quality headphones for good prices.

Always a good sign when you come to post in this thread and it's at the very top.

I've been wanting to blow some money. My PC speakers are a set of Logitech Z4 that I bought back in 2009. They've been very good for a $60 set (I somehow paid $12 shipping for them too on Amazon). Maybe my hearing is changing, but it sounds more and more like a tin can the past year or so.

Not sure if I want to go easy and cheap, or go a little crazier (finally be able to take advantage of FLAC files).

I don't know how to format apparently.

I haven't heard these personally but my buddy raves about the yamaha hs7 speakers. They are expensive but he says they are amazing and they look effing sexy.
