Re: What's good to watch on Netflix

I had never seen The Office UK or the US version so decided to give it a watch. I watched the UK version & really enjoyed it. May give the US version a watch at some point. So many show's to watch I never got a round to seeing them when they originally aired. Netflix solves that now.

I feel that most people have an allegiance to either the Brit version or the US version. For me, I grew more attached to the US version and watched all the DVD's (maybe twice?) before ever seeing an episode of the Brit version. When I did watch the Brit version, I couldn't help comparing the actors from one version againt their counterparts across the pond. I'm a big fan of Steve Carrell in general and didn't find anyone with that same magnetism in the other version. Michael Scott might be one of my favorite TV characters of all time.

I'm a Steve Carrell fan too, but I thought David Brent was funnier than Michael Scott.

I liked both shows but the American Office probably stayed around a little longer than it had to.

Same for me, plus I couldn't get over the UK version of Pam, I just didn't find her attractive really. I did watch all episodes of both and enjoyed both though but sort of enjoyed the U.S. one a bit more.

Hard to even compare the 2 since the US version stuck around so much longer. Gave the characters more of a chance to grow and develop. US version really hit its stride seasons 2 and 3, while the British version was just ending.

                  Wait, what?
You are just now watching Stranger Things?
Wow, what were you waiting on?

On a different note, have you ever watched any episodes of The 100?
I am 6 episodes in and don't know if I should continue.
its not bad, but its not great either.

That's the one that's on the CW correct? If so, I watched all of season 1 which was pretty good. Only got a few episodes deep in season 2 before I stopped because it just got boring and all over the place. It's hard to make me stop watching a show I've put time into because I'm easily entertained but something about this one didn't get me.

Yeah, The 100 has gotten pretty off the rails in recent seasons. I've watched the first four seasons and will probably watch season 5 eventually (I've watched fthe first episode), but it's way different than season 1, which was its high point.

I really loved the first two seasons. They are fun to watch, but 3 and 4 have been a steady decline. I too will probably watch Season 5, but It's not something I'm really excited about. I still think you should keep watching.

I've read the books and they are significantly different and even better in a lot of ways, but I also always liked the show's interpretation..

That was really nice of them to allow the final scene to be done by a person who was doing their first CGI scene, ever!

Finished Glow and El Chapo and enjoyed both a lot! Looking forward to another season.

I also finished Bates Motel series, Netflix only has 3 of the 5 seasons. Love this show, wonderfully acted by Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore. Very underrated show.
