This past week I got in to the show Manifest. I have finished the first 3 seasons (which were originally through NBC) and about to start season 4. It looks like the final part of the series will be available on Friday.

I really love this show. As someone who was obsessed with the show Lost, this has those vibes. Definitely recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it yet.

I don't know why I expected the "happily-ever after' ending. That final reminder that Kendall was responsible for a young man's death without consequence, Roman showing a glimpse of his satisfaction with no one getting the company if he couldn't, and Shiv proving that she had moxy but turned to goo when involved with family business was their destiny of not succeeding their father. I was so furious with Shiv's last second turn, but it was typical of the rollercoaster dysfunction. At one point, the siblings were united and I expected that's how they were going to rise and prove their worth of succession, especially after Shiv learned she was being pushed out by Matsson. But, Logan Roy got the final victory in maintaining his legacy, at least that's how I see it.


Don't really have words to explain Barry's end. Throughout the seasons, each episode was darkly humorous but had that tinge of deep dark. This final season was all deep dark with very little tinge of humor.

I don't think Logan ever had any intentions of any of his kids to take over his empire.
It seemed like Shiv had a change of heart after seeing how Kendall acted when getting behind Logan's desk for the first time. He started acting like the douche he was in the first episode of the series and realized what a d'bag he was. Completely incapable of running the company like she or Logan would have.
And because she's a survivor, she hopped on Team Tom knowing he's in charge and he's the father of her baby.
I liked Roman's ending a lot. He realized all three of them are worthless who never built anything on their own. He'll enjoy being rich and also knowing Kendall will never be CEO.

Watched the last season of Barry and the ending was somewhat disappointing. Didn’t really like how they setup the last season and the ending.

It went downhill fast and probably the same reasons as Lost. They get sidetracked and try to fill episodes. Unfortunately they can't master telling a good story with steady pacing and advancing the main story while all the side stuff happens. I've still watched it because I want to see how it ends but it hasn't been as good as it started.

Finished "From" season 1 (Paramount + in Canada) a couple months ago. LOVED it.
I'm now caught up on Season 2 and I can already see the "Lost" fingerprints all over it.
They had a great idea, then didn't know how to keep it going.
This season has been a slog to get thru. Each episode has felt like filler while last season, every episode was gold.
Also, the writing is just terrible. There are multiple characters who have discovered some pretty big things about where they are yet they fail to share this info with anyone.
IRL, I have to think all these people, for the most part, are pulling on the same rope and would be quick to discuss what they found.

Julie falls through the ground under her home and Victor is suddenly there? And Victor knew that's where the creatues sleep?
Why didn't she tell anyone about this? Why didn't she question Victor on how he knew this and why he was under there?

Boyd finds a lighthouse, then he's in a chimney where he climbs and finds a guy chained to the wall for who knows how long? Or how about the discovery of the transporting trees
Maybe tell the community about this?
Anyone? Anyone? Nope.

Jim hears a voice on the radio but waits 4 episodes before he tells anyone?

This is just lazy writing and gives the series a very after-school ABC production.
I was very skeptical to start this series because the Lost people were involved.
But Season 1 was fantastic and Harold Parrineau (Michael - Lost) even said in an interview that he had no interest in doing another project with them if it was going to turn out like Lost did. But they assured him it would not, and yet here we are.
I really hope this series rebounds from this point because Season 1 was so strong. I'd hate to abandon this when they started with something so good.

I'm still waiting until season 2 is done airing to binge this season but I've definitely been worried they would ruin it. Only hope is it's 10 episodes so they don't have to fill much with useless side story stuff.

Watched the 2nd half of the final season. They did provide an ending but just like Lost the show ended with all the questions being unanswered.

I liked Manifest haven't watched the last half of the end of the last season yet. No surprise it ends up in the air. That's why I am finding it hard to get involved with these types of shows. They can never figure out how to end it.

I'm 7 episodes into Season 2 and have barely tackled any of the series stuff that went down from the Season 1 finale.
It feels like 90% of the episodes are filled with relationship issues.
Like, I don't care that you have the feels for that character. Maybe talk about how you found your childhood teddy bear in a cave (that didn't actually happen).
Tabitha found, what I would consider, a major piece of information under their home and she hasn't spoken about it to anyone yet. WHY?????

It seems to be the pattern. Either they never intended to give you answers or they try to rush through everything at the last minute and leave a bunch of questions.

Just need to go into it thinking the mystery story part is just the setup for the show and it is really about the people there and how they deal with they mystery.

I thought the lack of "humanness" was what made the show so great. Barry was a killer and irredeemable. His own delusion about it was the most realistic thing about him. You don't get to the point he was at in his life and job and change.

I thought the Barry finale was so great. Hader is an incredible director. I loved the whole show, can't wait to go through it again. It definitely got darker the last 2 seasons, but there were still some great comedic moments. Barry getting in and out of his car with all the guns cracked me up.

Yeah, but early on there is a promise of somebody redeemable and sympathetic so that was disappointing to me. Still trying to wrap my head around Sally feeling "safe" with him. She was nuts too.

Barry was redeemed but he just didn't get to see it. His son sees him as a hero and the rest of America does also because of the Hollywood editing of the movie. It was also shown that Barry was manipulated for everything he did but again the wrong person paid for it. Barry just got a terrible ending that he didn't really think possible.

Sally was messed up and craved attention. She couldn't stand to be alone and Barry offered attention and support, so he was safer than her being alone. Even in the flash forward she is still asking for approval from everyone. I guess it did show some growth that she turned the other professor down but there was some hint at the son being the replacement for Barry and him leaving would force her to deal with being alone.

The detective got his revenge for his daughter even though he didn't know it and he didn't get to pull the trigger.

Fuches finally owns who he is and just walks off into the darkness. He paid for some of his actions but in the end, once he accepted that he was evil and manipulated everyone, he gets off free and just walks away while everyone else is dead and being blamed for others actions.

One of the best "last seasons". Extending each episode and coming to a nice closure with the characters. I wouldn't have a had a problem with this going a few more years.

Amazon Prime has been our go to recently; we have greatly enjoyed Daisy Jones and the Six, Reacher, and Joe Pickett with Jack Ryan right around the corner!

Currently watching “The Days” a Japanese limited series on the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Highly recommend. Japanese with subtitles is the absolute way to go.

Intense.

I am on episode 5 of 8.

Was a terrible situation. And quite frankly when you have the largest earthquake in Japan history and a Tsunami….things are just going to go bad.
