Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms

Started Entourage back up earlier this week and I’m up to Season 7(right around the time when Ari is trying to get an NFL Team in LA). Some thoughts:

-Drama was annoying AF for the first 6 1/2 seasons.
-Wasn’t a fan of Scott Lavin. Didn’t think he provided anything to the show other than being an unfunny ***hole(the worst kind of person).
-Jeremy Piven’s performance of Ari was Grade A Greatness.
-They started to lose me once they had Vince start having his breakdown and got coked up and was ****ing Sasha Grey.

The middle seasons of this show were great but towards the end, it starts getting kinda corny.

I enjoyed The Bear, it was authentic, bold, harsh, heartbreaking, but mostly anxiety inducing.

Jeremy Allen White was stellar. His character drove me nuts, especially in season 2, but in a sympathetic way as to how he responded to his life's experiences.

      Can't wait for season 3.

The last couple seasons I think they got away from what people loved about the show and tried to make it more than what it was. It was a fun easy to watch show about a group of friends living the dream. I didn’t want a long dark story line with Vince and I wasn’t necessarily concerned with stuff like whether turtle could mature and make it on his own

And the movie was nothing more than a long *** reunion episode, which I still don’t know why they decided to make, 3-4 years after the show ended.

            Lincoln Lawayer season 2

Caught the 5 they released. It’s nothing spectacular but I enjoy the show. I guess I’m a sucker for lawyer dramas

I just watched the "McGregor Forever". The dude's a fierce fighter and knows how to talk the talk, no doubt. Love him or hate him, you can't deny that he brings some serious energy to the octagon and keeps the MMA world buzzing.

I'm not exactly a McGregor fan but I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary as well.
The one gripe I had is how they completely ignored all the horrendous trash talk McGregor had to say about Khabib Nurmagomedov's religion and his wife.
He made fun of the traditional shroud she wore for their wedding saying Khabib was probably marrying a goat.
The people they interviewed make a point to say that both fighters were to blame for bringing so much hate into the fight which spilled outside of it.
Look at both guys careers; Which guy has done more trash talking and caused more drama?
This was 100% on Conor and I felt the documentary glossed over this and made it look like it was a two-way street.

I also felt there was too much creative editing with their fight.
McGregor was absolutely dominated. The 3rd round was the only time he was competitive and he cheated throughout by hooking Khabib's cuffs and grabbing on to the cage.
Otherwise, it was one of Khabib's easier wins. The only reason it didn't end earlier was I believe Khabib wanted to make him pay.
Speaking of which, the documentary also ignored the sequence where after the bell had rung to end the round, Khabib asks Conor if he wants to talk now to which McGregor is basically begging Khabib to take it easy on him and replying "It's only business!"

BUT, saying all of that, it's a great doc and I actually came away liking Conor more than I had previously.

First 3 seasons were gold for me…once the Aquaman crap started to come into play….blah blah and I tapped out.

The journey was the best part of the show….the arrival sucked.

The Aquaman storyline was season 3 and my favorite season by far. Actually, I’m thinking of Aquamom, the movie premier episode and season 3 premier. Aquaman would’ve been season 2.

Almost through Band of Brothers. Gripping stuff and a true reminder that war is hell. A good perspective on a group of imperfect men doing the dirty work.

When they’re getting shelled for days in the forest outside of Foy, that may have been one of the most intense scenes I’ve ever seen. Just pure mayhem and nowhere to hide. Duck and pray. Great filmmaking effects — I think they were practical effects and that brought an extra layer of reality to it.

                      I’ve got 2-3 episodes left.
                      NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
                      NFL - Buffalo Bills
                      MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Yep…tapped out after season three. Season four is when things started getting stale for me.

Breaking Bad is very interesting. This critically acclaimed AMC series follows the transformation of a high school chemistry teacher, Walter White (Bryan Cranston), into a ruthless drug lord after a cancer diagnosis. The show's writing and acting have been widely praised, making it one of the most beloved and iconic TV dramas of all time. I also watch a few other movies on the Modtodays android apps, it's very useful as the apps are all free

Apple TV+ has been hot for us this summer, the last 2 shows being entertaining: Silo and Black Bird (second to last Ray Liotta role). Still have Mythic Quest's new season to go too.

Band of Brothers - a masterpiece! I read the book years ago and was a bit skeptical about how they'll pull it off, but it turned out to be amazing .
