Currently watching Bodies which is pretty good so far. There’s a lot to unpack but so far it has my attention.

Agree. There wasn’t anything new I didn’t already know and I felt like they glossed over his military tactics a bit too much which is crazy considering the battles he won in Persia.

We’ll see what they do with the 2nd season when it focuses on his conquests East.

Mr and Mrs. Smith on Amazon Prime = Not worth the watch, ya’ll. I checked out on it after the 3rd episode.

Lost obviously doesn't hold up as well as a lot of other prestige shows from the last 20-25 years, but the degree of difficulty was also much higher. Way more episodes per season, way faster turnaround time (the new season would begin 4-6 months after the previous one ended), way less independence and more restrictions on a major network than cable/streaming shows. Imagine how tight that show could've been with half the number of episodes and the freedom to add R-rated elements or to take an extra 6-12 months to write and film, if necessary. Despite Lost's flaws, it's amazing to me that it's as good as it is.

They couldn’t make her ugly and they tried.

Enjoyed the show too even though I felt they could have went even more of a monster that she was in real life

Agree. I actually think they went maybe 3-4 episodes too short. Episode 5 and 6 felt rushed. They could have really gotten deeper into how evil she was.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms

They really left out a ton of her life and the timeline was highly inaccurate. Griselda was already a well known cocaine dealer for 15 years before she even got to Miami. And majority of the people the show said she met Miami, she actually met in Colombia because they all grew up together in the same neighborhood. They also left out Dario's brothers, whom they and Dario were notorious in Colombia way before Griselda even hired them in Colombia. The show also left out how her sons were actually running the coke business along with her. Ozzy was a major drug lord at the age of 16 and ran the California market. And they left out her way younger black boyfriend she had while she was prison who was from Oakland and how she made him one of the biggest drug dealers in Oakland and LA.

The show really should have been 2 seasons of 10 episodes each season. But Netlfix would only agree to 6 episodes.

One of these days, we gonna need to talk about how these streaming service companies only dropping like 8-10 episodes for a series, having to wait like 1-3 years for the next season is one of the worst things that have happened in the context of streaming.

I miss the old days of when you’d get like 20+ episodes for 1 season and then get the next season either a few months later or a year later.

...also, how is 1997 nearly 30 years ago? Gosh I'm getting old.

Somewhat related, but I watch a YouTube movie/TV discussion show (TJCS) where a superchat mentioned it'll be weird seeing somebody else eventually play Wolverine in the MCU other than Hugh Jackman, and in response the host mentioned how the person who left the comment, alongside many viewers, is likely to even have been born after Jackman was first cast to play Wolverine. That's how long he's been around for. Very crazy indeed!
