Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Never realized a series of unfortunate events final season was released on new years. Now I have to rush through the first 2 seasons before I start the new ones. Haven't seen any episodes since my first watch of them over the past few years once they released.Comment

DCs Titans finally premiered on international Netflix. US peeps can probably use a vpn to check it out if they didn’t sign up with the DC service

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Couldn't wait a week or two so I just went ahead on final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. Gonna watch final episode on the weekend. Final season so far has had so many twists and turns.
I've never read the books so I have no idea what is going to happen. Makes everything so suspenseful. The Lemony and Beatrice part especially I wasn't expecting.
Not that I entirely expected everything to be wrapped up by the end, but I hope this doesn't just end with a cliffhanger or a completely unresolved ending.
They could probably even have a small series about the backstory. Life leading up to the "schism". I know it's not part of the book series, but those stories sound interesting in the bits shown on the show.Comment

I finally watched Solo. And I really enjoyed it. I just enjoyed it for what it was. Was it epic. Nah.. But I'd watch it again.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Finished Series of Unfortunate events.
Ending was ok I guess. Unexpected stuff for sure, but didn't have the closure I like having on shows I watch. There really should be more books or non canon series dealing with events after the finale.
I liked having Neil Patrick Harris playing all those roles. Patrick Warburton playing Lemony Snicket was great too with his narrations. The girl they had playing Violet did a great job in the series too. Probably the standout/most improved actor of the cast.Last edited by Majingir; 01-14-2019, 01:50 AM.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
Netflix claiming big numbers for various shows, numbers which have people wondering about the authenticity of it.
Saying a show is on track to be seen by over 40m people in the first 4 weeks, or another show has been seen in over 20m households, those are big numbers. Too good to be true, misleading stats? Apparently one of those shows also airs on tv and seen by 600k viewers on average.
The way I'm guessing they're presenting the numbers is counting everyone, even those who might have accidentally tapped on it and seen 20 seconds. And also combined viewers from all episodes, even though each episode are the same viewers. I've seen shows do that before. Be like "over X million people viewed our shows on tv last week", when in reality, they're combining viewers from each show (since multiple episodes aired)
Regardless, it does show how inaccurate tv ratings are. Tv ratings don't include anyone who isn't a Nielsen viewer. I heard DVR numbers count for everyone though, but live viewers is only the small sample of people. I'd trust streaming numbers way more than tv ones, assuming streaming is able to accurately track the full viewers, not accidental ones. YouTube for example, I believe every unique ip address even if for a few seconds counts as a view, though YouTube analytics shows how long people watch, and which part of video is most watched.Last edited by Majingir; 01-18-2019, 12:58 AM.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
I think you're probably right and they do count clicks on a show as a view regardless of how long you watch.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix
It could be too that network shows are only counting domestic households and Netflix is taking in total worldwide views.
Netflix is huge in Asia, they often offer it for free for half the year when you sign up for any internet or cell phone plan.
