Binged the other two episodes available of Tokyo Vice, loved it. I'm a bit biased as I'm a fan of things set in Japan or the culture, but I like the feel and pace of the show.

Two episodes a week, still enjoying.

Seeing a lot of buzz for Outer Range on Amazon Prime, starring Josh Brolin in a sci fi mystery set in Wyoming. Been watching a lot of Survivor for months, I think it’s time to take my brain out of the pickle jar it’s been in and enjoy a series. Anyone seen Outer Range yet?

Actually have completed the grind through 5 seasons of Better Call Saul. It is so well written and acted, but for me it's been a slow crawl. Looking forward to season six that starts this week.

I didn't enjoy seasons 4 and 5 like I did 1-3 but I still found it worth watching. I'll probably have to wait until it comes out on DVD, my cable dropped AMC and I just don't feel like picking up another subscription in AMC+ to watch it.

YTTV still carries AMC but I don't sub to AMC+. You can watch BCS on AMC after a delay can't you?

                    Slow Crawl? WHAT!!??

Love the entire series thoroughly. Might like it better than Breaking Bad. I re-watched Season 5 as it just came out on Netflix. I confess to somehow forgetting a key element at the very end.

Have no idea how I forgot that even with the two-year break.

Yeah, a slow crawl. Not every episode is non-stop action but a deliberate development of the story. Wasn't bashing your show, just my description of it's delivery. I have greatly enjoyed it without a doubt, and as I said, I am looking forward to season 6.

Sorry if I seemed overzealous-I didn't think you were bashing the show.

That's my biggest wonder too even though I have an idea.

Netflix wanting to crack down on password sharing even more.

Maybe it's just me, but aren't the ones taking part in the password sharing only doing so because it's cheaper than a solo account? So would those same people really bother paying if they have to pay 2x,3x,4x more on their own vs sharing/splitting the bill with others?

I'm not sure of their tiers, but why not expand the family plan and just allow for multiple households? That's already the case, with an X device limit at the same time anyways. So not sure why they dont just adapt rather than try driving away business?

Is something like a streaming service worth $10,$15,$20 a month to some people? No.

But what if they're paying $2,$4,$6 a month when sharing with friends or family?

I could understand weeding out the internet password sharing stuff where strangers just group together to get an account, but going after families or friends is another thing.

Are these "free users" labeled by Netflix the ones that piggyback on the premium plan ($19.99/month, 4 screens/household) and just get in whenever they can? I don't know, I'm asking.

e.g. I share my premium account with five other people not including the three screens in my household. That would mean at any given time four out of eight screens could operate simultaneously and a fifth user just couldn't get in. Come to think of it that might require some coordination.

I think its basically anyone not paying Netflix themselves (so even if the primary user pays $20 or whatever it is, the people they share access with aren't paying Netflix, but rather the person who is paying the $20 a month).

Maybe the crackdown could first be on the internet sellers. I'm sure theres a way to flag accounts that constantly run into a 5th device or more constantly trying to gain access.

If you're paying for 4 devices on a $20 plan, and only have 4 users using it, each likely chipping in $5, that's fine imo.

But they definitely need other alternatives. One suggestion I read is having an ad filled version at a lower price.

Maybe even offer free tiers too? Free tier with select shows available (or maybe every show on Netflix is available, but 1 episode from each? And select movies too). An ad version where there's ads before every show/movie you watch and in between at times too. And then the regular tier.
