What if they had ads and charged $5.99 a month for two screens?

Then again it would depend on the frequency of the ads. I would be OK with IMDb ad-frequency-rate.

I'm not sure how the limiting of passwords will work. I do share my password with 3 other people however i have the highest tier one as you get 4 people at a time that can use it.

The main one I share it with is my brother. If your tracking IP address they are times we will both log on at our jobs. How will they know the difference in all of that ? They are times we will go on vacation and bring the ipad to watch. So how will they know its someone else and not me ?

I think its basically anyone not paying Netflix themselves (so even if the primary user pays $20 or whatever it is, the people they share access with aren't paying Netflix, but rather the person who is paying the $20 a month).

Maybe the crackdown could first be on the internet sellers. I'm sure theres a way to flag accounts that constantly run into a 5th device or more constantly trying to gain access.

If you're paying for 4 devices on a $20 plan, and only have 4 users using it, each likely chipping in $5, that's fine imo.

But they definitely need other alternatives. One suggestion I read is having an ad filled version at a lower price.

Maybe even offer free tiers too? Free tier with select shows available (or maybe every show on Netflix is available, but 1 episode from each? And select movies too). An ad version where there's ads before every show/movie you watch and in between at times too. And then the regular tier.

I started watching this because of this post. Started a few nights ago and am about halfway through season 2. It's one of the best shows I've seen in a while. The dark comedy is so good.

Marvelous Mrs Maisel - one of the the best shows i've watched lately.

Stopped in my tracks around the middle of ep#2 of the current season of MMMaisel. I’ll try to finish it sometime , Mostly because of the investment I put in it.
The second half of the final season of Ozark is hours away.

Had no idea this weeks episode of Tokyo Vice was the season one finale. The episode itself was good, but felt weird since there hasn't been any talk of a season two or even a renewal.


Would be nice.

That 90s show is coming to Netflix!

Featuring most of the original cast from That 70s show (minus Hyde, due to everything that went down with him a few years back).

Hopefully this is more than a 1 season type thing, but regardless, I'm definitely watching.
