The problem I have with Wednesday is she reminds me so much of Young Sheldon I can't shake it. The facial expressions, the speaking cadence, it's the same, I've liked the show, but damn. She even seems smaller than everyone else, which reminds me of Sheldon being in a higher level of school than his peers, which makes it a little awkward for her to be doing relationship stuff when you think of it like that

Not sure where to put this exactly, but Henry Cavill has signed on to star in and executive produce an Amazon series set in the Warhammer 40K universe.
Super excited about this. I've been really hoping for a Warhammer 40K TV/Movie installment for a while. I don't play the board game, but the lore is just so interesting. Amazon taking it on also gives me hope that they will have a proper budget for a space tv series.
This announcement is very new, and so it will be a while before we actually are able to watch anything. Still exciting though.Comment

Amazon is great in the action genre but they haven’t done anything I liked in the fantasy genre.
Cavils great though and I pretty much like everything he does so I’m hoping good things here. Not familiar with the game though but I’ve seen it around for a long time

So I watched Willow on Disney Plus. This TV series is mighty boring. 4 episodes and yeah, very slow burn. It is cool they have the original guy in it though.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms
Aw, I liked Bullet Train.
In other news, Top Gun: Maverick is now on Paramount+, and Black Adam and The Banshees of Inisherin are now on HBO Max. I just saw the latter two for the first time yesterday.
BA was basically nonstop action, not a great story but visually held my attention (though very relentless). I would've went for a sequel that integrates itself more with the DCEU, but now that it will be a brand new DCU I'd understand why they also may have to part ways with this story and Johnson's portrayal of the character.
The Banshees of Inisherin will be a grower for me. I know that I liked it, especially the acting and cinematography, and the dialogue was very witty and charming. The thin plot meant they had to rely on those bits to be strong, and thankfully they very much were. The quibbles I have would involve the "what happened before and what happens after" that we don't see to get a grasp of "what happens during" for me to emotionally connect with it all. I feel for the characters, but I don't feel for myself. That was probably the last ingredient that I needed, but I think absorbing and rewatching it could provide me with exactly that. Recommended if you like McDonagh's previous works (very much like Three Billboards, love In Bruges, didn't care much for Seven Psychopaths).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Alice in Borderland season 2 is out on Netflix and episode 1 was already on some next level insanity.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms
I've been watching Maid on Netflix, it's basically the creators of Shameless making a version of the same show without the humor. There's SOME humor, but damn. It's crazy how depressing it is. Andie MacDowell is the eccentric parent in this version. It's actually good, which is a bummer to admit about a show that makes me sad
edit: fun fact I just learned, the lead actress Margaret Qualley (who is great), is the real life daughter of Andie MacDowell, that kinda blew my mindLast edited by l3ulvl; 12-23-2022, 02:59 AM.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

The hotness she exhibited in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood as the jailbait beauty (she was actually 23-24) prompted me to Wiki her and I found out she was Andie MacDowell's real daughter.Comment

I couldn't make it to a big enough sampling of Shameless to comment on any similarities to Maid but Qualley's performance made her Netflix show an easy binge for me.

Glass Onion, the Knives Out sequel.
If you liked the first, you’ll love this one. I think it meets or exceeds the high bar the first set. Daniel Craig and Janelle Monae crush their roles, good fun support from the others. I want to see more Leslie Odom films too. I somehow only knew him as a musician. He had a regular recurring role on Person of Interest, which was an awesome series.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
