I have the parts picked out, my only question is on video cards.

Is it really necessary to run an SLI setup with newer cards? Since I haven't played many newer games on PC, I have to go by hearsay, and what I've heard is that games aren't really developed with SLI in mind (that is, SLI actually makes games play less efficiently). If I'm getting a newer video card, I figured one would be enough to power even the most bleeding-edge, graphic-heavy games. Does anyone have experience in this area?

    Thanks!
Depends on how many monitors you plan on using. If You're using more than one monitor and plan on playing on a really high resolution than SLI/Crossfire is the way to go. If not, then one Card is sufficient.

Ya the ones I found were like $20.

My concern was having two different outputs resulting in two different images on my two screens.

You could either Mirror the images or Extend the Desktop. The Tech is much better than it was before...

NOT A QUESTION ABOUT BUILDING A PC, JUST A GENERAL PC QUESTION

AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.4GHz processor; ensures optimal computing performance
2GB of DDR2 memory; provides smooth workflow capabilities
80GB Hard Disk Drive; ample storage for your files and documents
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 210S; integrated graphics allow you to experience stunning visuals
Need a cheap back-up computer, looking at this desktop. For web browsing, light computer work is this decent?

Also, how do I know if it is capable of HD video, for example HD Youtube videos?

IMO, and this is after 10 hours at working, 2 hours driving and 3 hours drinking. W7 on 2GB on RAM would be pretty crappy. The rest looks fine, I think I'd try to go for that extra 1GB of RAM though.

You can grab a 2gb ram stick on the cheap. You definitely don't want to run Windows 7 on 2GB Ram.

Don't be that cheap.....for $300 to $400 you can get a modern day PC from Staples or Walmart. I would never buy a Refurb PC.

I just looked at it, first just read above on the Win7 on 2GB RAM...

After looking, that things a turd for $150. Check Craigslist if you want a cheap desktop. $150 for 80GB Hard Drive computer, nah.

Thanks for the input. Problem is I can't spend $300-400. Obviously if I could I'd get something better.

                      My MAX budget is $250.

On the lowest setting most likely. Will be stuttering that is for sure. For that price, that PC will probably have an integrated Radeon 3000 or 4000 in it.
