The backlight bleed issues are what kept me from going with the Asus ROG Swift. Have zero on my Predator. Don't forget to set it to 165hz.

Got the Logitech G910 Orion Spark - usually $119.99 - got it on Prime Day for $89.99.

So excited to use it, looks like a fantastic keyboard (I’ve always used $10 keyboards)

Nice. I like Corsair for keyboards and Logitech for mice. Got two of them lol.

Exactly same thing for me, I've been a Corsair keyboard fan and Logitech mouse player for years and years now with zero complaints.

        Keyboard - Corsair K70
        Mouse - Logitech G303

So mad they discontinued my mouse, it was easily my favorite shooter designed mouse. Minimal buttons, small footprint, and rock solid sensor.

I have been thinking of trying out the Steel Series 310, Razer Lancehead, or the Zowie FK 1.

Serious question, as I felt this way about keyboards and hope to be wrong when I get mine but what is the difference between a $12 gaming mouse and a $60 one?

I’m using a silent click one now and maybe that’s why I suck at shooters so much (yeah.. right)

Probably not much. I have a Amazon basic and a K55. Only difference in game is the RGB and some macro keys.

Some people swear by the mechanical keyboards but I don’t believe they are “faster” or anything like that.

Personally it's mostly about feel and comfortability. I've been using a Madcatz R.A.T. 5 for the past couple years and it's about time to replace it. Figures Madcatz is no longer...

Anyway, the weight, overall feel, thumb rest etc just make things more comfortable. The ability to toggle DPI settings adds some functionality. It's debatable whether or not it actually makes me better lol.

Hey everyone - I am just now getting into PC gaming, primarily because of Madden 19 coming to PC for the different modding possibilities I have been hearing about. Instead of building my own PC, I'm thinking of snagging this one. Reddit folks seem to think it is a good deal, but wanted to check here too since this is specifically sports gamers:

                HP 870-213w Gaming Desktop
                Core i7-7700 3.6 GHz
                16GB RAM
                256GB SSD
                1TB HD Win10
                NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB Graphics

This should be good enough to run ALL existing games in pretty much max settings, right? Thanks for the help!

What’s the price? And it’ll run everything just fine. 1080p or 1440p.

Thanks for the reply. Can snag it for right around $650.

Yeah I did switch it over, the guy at Microcenter also reminded me and even showed me real quick how to do so.

I also have no backlight bleed or any dead pixels at all on the Predator and thank goodness because it worried me to no end.

I did buy the 2 year replacement plan from Microcenter just in case though...

I have a mechanical Corsair Strafe RGB keyboard and the main reason I like it is you definitely know when you do or do not hit a key.

Here's the one I use. I absolutely love it

This has to be used I’m guessing.

I think that’s a good price. The GTX 1070 alone is new for $400.

Yeah, buying it from my brother-in-law, so at least I know who to go to if it craps the bed.

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread

So I got some PC gaming in last night on the new Acer Predator 27" 1440 165Hz monitor (XB271HU). Holy cow!!!. Yes a new monitor does make a HUGE difference in regards to gameplay. I mean the graphics are jaw dropping. I mean absolutely off the hook, I've never seen anything like the graphics I saw last night. Diablo, Starcraft II, Battlefield 1, FIFA 18, The Witcher 3 are the games I checked out...

Although the resolution is 2K versus 4K on the consoles I think the games look far, far, far superior on the PC due to the ability to run with much more detail (anti-aliasing) and way higher frame rates. I mean just the level of detail, even in Diablo, the old assed Diablo looks amazing when you up the supersampling levels!!

Now...no, I'm not converted to the "PC MASTER RACE" lol, I still say I find it more enjoyable to game on a huge TV screen in an easy chair so I still will probably be more of a console guy. And computers are just too expensive for most people to game on them. The price-value ratio is way off.

But I'm going to really enjoy what I can on the PC that is different from console gaming. Hopefully as long as my new machine with the 1080 EVGA lasts me for playing without having to upgrade again.

So with that being said, can you guys offer me direction on PC game experiences that are fantastic that I CANNOT enjoy on the console?
