Going to need to be a great season to rebound from the last one's atrocity. Definitely excited about seeing more of Yvonne. Will watch for her and because I'm holding out hope they can find a way to turn it around and, like you said, build towards a final season with the next one.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

                Re: Dexter (Season 7)

Next season is officially the last season:

Since the show has been renewed for two more seasons, is this definitely the end?
                Colleton:
This was definite. We wanted to end it this year, but the network convinced us that it would be best to do it in two years. In some ways, this is a two-season series-ender. We have worked that out and know where it's going to end. Next year will definitely be the last year of Dexter. Absolutely.

Are you guys ready to say goodbye to Dexter?
                Colleton:
From the very beginning, when I first started developing the pilot, I always knew it would be a seven-year arc for this series. I feel easily that we can be an eight-year show, but I never want it to get old and stale. I want us to go out on a high and everybody on the show is determined to keep the level of it up to the very end. It's always wise to know when it's time to leave the stage before you're asked to leave the stage.

Do you think Dexter has to die at the end?
                Colleton:
[Laughs] I would never answer that question.

Do you know what the final scene is?
                Colleton:
We don't know what the final scene is, but we know where it's going. We know now exactly how it's going to end and how the series will end.

How do you think Dexter should end?

Stay tuned for more Dexter scoop in our weekly Mega Buzz column.

Dexter returns Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c on Showtime.
There's a lot more info here but there's spoilers, so read at your own risk. It's mostly outlining some of the plots this season.

I'm glad they seem to know where they're taking things. I'd like to think Season 6 was a "filler season" for the most part and that's why it wasn't as good as past seasons. So hopefully now that they're fully on track to the ending, these next two seasons will go back to more of the good and less of the bad.

As disappointed as I was with last season, I still love this show so of course I'll be watching. Knowing they have an end point makes it easier to digest too. At least they'll be writing toward something.

Seymour is a reminder that there's at least someone more vocal than me regarding the atrocities in film and television.

                        Re: Dexter (Season 7)

I view the show now as an unintentional comedy (albeit a pretty entertaining one at that because those last few episodes of season 6 had me howling at its dedication at throwing any type of logic out the window, that Dexter painting may be one of the classic comedic moments in TV history) but its easier to take as Game of Thrones has somewhat reaffirmed my faith in cable television.

I sure hope they do this right now that they have a definite endpoint. I fear that a lot of season 7 will be soap opera filler as Deb and Dex "explore" their feelings for one another and alot of Deb whining to her shrink that she's hot for her brother the serial killer and why she has a thing for guys who murder people. I still think they wasted a lot of opportunity in not using the season 2 storyline in the final season. That was my favorite season and it was dripping with tension almost every week. But I guess they wanted to write Doakes out of the series and figured that was the easiest way to do it.

By bringing out the Bay Harbour Butcher storyline too early it made people like Quinn and anybody else who suspected Dexter of something nefarious later on in the series look like complete tools because they can't somehow make the connection between Dexter and the BHB. Deb finds out that Dexters brother is a serial killer yet is too dense to figure out that maybe Dexter and the BHB are somehow related. And then she gets a promotion to reward her thickness.

Colin Hanks was the least intimidating villain since Colonel Klink, but a lot more boring.

The only moment where I enjoyed Hanks as the villain was "hello, wh*re"... Other than that? Barf

Both former Dex lovers Jaime Murray (hot) and Julie Benz (hotter) will costar in the upcoming ScFy series Defiance, based on the CPU game.

The two are friends in real life.
