When Dexter told Deb that there was a big problem with him staying with her, I thought it was going to be something about the kid he has abandoned.

maybe Dexter thinks that being away from Harrison most of the time is the best situation for Harrison? to me that is an entirely believable storyline given the battles of conscience he has....

im anxious to see some of the conversations Dex and Deb may/may not have in future episodes. How much of the past is Dexter going to spill to her, or how much is she going to question him about it? I could very well see him breaking down and talking about how Rita died or him explaining exactly what was up with that british girl when he was going to the meetings

in regards to the future i think Dexter is going to have to have a real talk with Debra about Louis, and i think Debra will look into how he took over that company and maybe get him out of Dex's life for good

reallllllllllly anxious to see what becomes of the LaGuerta storyline too

The Rita/Trinity thing is a must IMO.

You also have to think they might come back to that whole Quinn storyline from Season 5 when he was on the verge of busting Dexter.

Yeah, that was definitely brushed under the rug.

Clearly, the episode we all missed is the one that shows us that Harrison is self-reliant.

Just watched the 1st 2 episodes and enjoyed the premiere immensely. I did not expect Deb to figure everything out so fast but the ending was quite intense and brings back the memory of the earlier tension filled seasons. It was steller except for the way Dexter killed the guy in the airport but that type of cartoon logic has always been a trademark for the series.

The 2nd episode was good also but Debra conveniently forgetting that Dexter was at the very least indirectly responsible for Doakes death and having an innocent man framed for his murders out of self preservation, and therefore just not killing people who deserve it, makes it morally iffy at best that she would feel compelled to protect him and not turn him in. I'm sure Dexter would not implicate her in Hanks murder if she turned him in. Harrison seems like a thorn in the writer's side right now as it is pretty funny Deb insists that Dexter abandon his son for who knows how long so he can live with her. I think the writers are really regretting making Dexter a father because his son seems to be getting in the way of how they want the show to end. The fact that Dexter would even entertain the thought of fleeing the country before Deb found out everything and needs to see the photo of his son to remind him that he would be abandoning his toddler son is quite far fetched.

I don't know where they are going with this Louis guy but I still have a feeling there's some big secret going on like he's Dexter's half brother from his father or something. I'm pretty sure that Louis bought the arm before Dexter criticized his game.

And someone please give Quinn a sandwich. Last year he looked fit to a point but this year he looks sickly and anorexic. The other plot with the mobster seems more like a side plot and hopefully is resolved by mid season because it seems kinda pointless with the other stuff going on but the show seems intent on having a new villain every season.

All in all a good start so far and actually has me excited for the next episode for the first time in quite a long time. Deb finding out was a shot in the arm for the series creatively, I just hope her being his new advisor doesn't get too campy.

IMDB is like wikipedia, just regular people fill that stuff out. It might be more highly moderated, but it's nothing to speculate by.

The photo thing is not true, BTW, on the premiere of 2.5 men they had a giant photo of Sheen and he certainly wasn't under contract.

Liking the direction of this season far more than the last, so far.

Not quite vintage Dexter where I'd be on pins and needles until the "whaaaaaaaat!?" moment at the end of every episode, but it's keeping me interested in seeing where they are headed.

Man, they are killing it so far this season. This is great. The pace they are moving at seems like it's faster than both of the past two seasons. They're not dragging things along for the hell of it, they're just cutting right to the chase and it's providing us with great episodes so far.

Also, I'm surprised at how quickly they offed Louis. I thought the payoff to that was going to be much different.

EDIT: I can't post about last night's episode without at least mentioning Yvonne Strahovski. Sooooo fine. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her this season.

This season is amazing.
Moving so quick and people are doing things in this season that they would NEVER do in season's past.

It's like everyone's IQ jumped up 50 points this season.
For example: Deb outside the house in the cop car, and the lights go off.

Agreed. The pace is great. Haven't had this can't wait feeling since the episode cliffhangers with the Trinity Killer.

I like the set ups here too. The pace is fast but very slowly we are seeing how Dexter's world could come crumbling down. First it's Deb and LaGuerta. Now it's gonna be this season's baddie from the strip club and I'm sure Bautista's sister is going to become suspicious of Dexter once she realizes Louis is missing (considering what he said about him).

With the blood on the boat, the blood samples in LaGuerta's possession, and the info the baddie has...plus I'm still waiting for Debra to flip again when LaGuerta inevitably reminds her about Doakes.

Perhaps Deb can understand Dexter's Dark Passenger as a necessary evil, but how will she feel when she realizes innocents have died as well?

Lots of layers here. End date is the best thing to happen to this series.

I love the casting of Yvonne. Absolutely loved her in Chuck and I think she'll be a great addition to Dexter. She is a much better eye candy than Rita and I hope she stays for a long long time
