"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
That actually looks good and I'm not kidding. I'm finally looking forward to a new season other than for unintentional comedic purposes. Hell has officially frozen over because the series may finally return to its roots. The same tired formula of a serial killer on the loose and Dexter going after them was getting so tiring. I only hope they don't make Deb so braindead in her ability to put one and one together that it frustrates the viewer.
Now hopefully they don't leave plot holes big enough to drive a truck through and discontinue that Wile E Coyote logic that befell them the last couple of seasons.
Of course they could commit the unpardonable sin of having the compulsive "have to kill a bad guy" Dexter somehow convincing Deb that he's a normal guy that just snapped. All the while still killing bad guys.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
I actually thought that you would be impressed by the "peek". Deb is supposed to be a great detective, so I think she'll figure out that Dex is the Bay Harbor butcher sometime this season. What they do after that will determine how good or bad this season goes.

If Deb is totally oblivious of the connection the whole season then she might as well buy some shares in the ACME Company and start chasing the roadrunner around with Wile E because she would have to be the stupidest cop in TV history. She would be more qualified trying to apprehend an oversized bird running down the highway.
It was bad enough she couldn't make any connection when she found out Dexter was the Ice Truck Killer's brother. At this point her suspecting Dexter at least derails that cringe worthy incest angle that the writers thought up, at least I hope it does.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 08-18-2012, 05:03 PM.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Trailer
Spoiler
Granted the trailer is cut in a way that certain dialogue might not actually be related to what we see, but it did seem that Deb figured out Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher. Again, probably how it was cut, but she found the blood slides, they cut to LaGuerta talking about the BHB keeping slides of his victims, and then Deb says to Dexter: "You lied to me," and makes a comment about being a Lieutenant with this info.
Assuming that's not just really clever editing (though, why do that?), perhaps Deb will return to her smart ways.

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Most shows are intentionally deceptive with their season trailers, that's why I hate them (as well as giving too much away just like movie trailers) and I wasn't gonna watch this one but curiosity got the best of me but I fully expect at least 50% of that trailer is misrepresented and that Lieutenent line probably was said in the church because they don't match up the scene with her mouthing the words.Comment

Re: Dexter (Season 7)
Hope 7 is a rebound from what is in my opinion, two very average seasons. Hopefully it will delete from what is becoming a very populated Miami Metro Homicide Division line up. Not counting Dex, we have Deb, Batista, LaGuerta, Quinn, Masuka, Capt. Matthews, and the new detective that was introduced this past season from Chicago. I liked the new detective, kinda like old Sgt. Doakes without the steroid rage. I wouldn't mind Batista hitting the bricks. None of his story arcs have ever been very good. Been awhile since a major player got nixed in the series right?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
