This was probably the most enjoyable episode of the season for me so far. It's just a shame that it's almost considered an achievement for them to be above average at this point.

Also, the biggest mistake they've made with this show (aside from having way too many seasons - a result of CBS milking the show for all it's worth, I'm guessing) is that they've revealed way too much. That's what's making things so uninteresting because Ted has hardly been interesting since we've known things like where he meets the mother or that Robin cannot be her. It's like now we're just waiting and waiting and waiting until they finally decide to let loose one of those big moments/reveals. It also doesn't help that the comedy just seems to be losing its punch the longer the show goes on.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and I'm in it til the end. I just wish we could get back to, or at least come close to, the peak of the show. But I've all but given up on that.

I thought it was arguably the worst episode of the entire recent history of the show. Only ones off the top of my head that I can think of that were probably worse for sure was the monkey robbery Central Park one and the one where Marshall and Lily throw that stupid dinner party thing. I don't even remember the episode title of the latter.

Surely you're not referring to the CAT SITTIN' FOR LILY'S MOM CAT SITTIN' FOR LILY'S MOM IT'S GONNA BE GOOD IT'S GONNA BRING US ALL CLOSER TOGETHER!!! episode.

That was the best night ever.

Laughter rainin' down like April showers.

          Oh we talked for hours.

          Best night ever.

Remember when Lily told that story 'bout the DMV?

They're not very efficient there which is why it was funny.

We've known Robin wasn't the mother since the 1st episode of the show though unless you're saying Ted hasn't ever been interesting.

I enjoyed last night's episode but then again I enjoy most of them. It probably helps me since I'm one of the few people who don't care who the mother is or when she's revealed.

lol, the first episode confused me. When I first saw this show, since the first episode is obviously the first episode I saw, I thought at the end when Ted was like "And what was how I met your Aunt Robin", he actually meant his kids aunt(meaning his wifes sister).

I did as well, and it took me a few episodes (when he started saying uncle Marshall/Barney and aunt Lily) to get what he actually meant haha.

                  Agreed. Pretty weak.

It took me until the 27 minute mark to notice Mr. Belding as one of the judges on the panel.

Dennis Haskins was probably the only saving grace, lol.

Not saying that. What I meant is that when they keep going back to Robin and Ted, it's just really pointless because we already know the end result.

It's still pretty good. Just not what it used to be.

It's for realism. Of course you'd need time to fully get over your ex, especially if you're best friends with them. Barney/Robin are going through the same thing, only difference being that the point of the show isn't about Barney finding his wife.

I completely agree with you and I'm hoping this isn't the last season.
