This past monday was 3rd least watched episode in the shows history. I guess it's cause people didn't even know if it was a new episode or not.

Only 2 other episodes which had lower ratings, was last few episodes of season 6(people really didn't seem to like that since a number of episodes to end that seasons didn't do so great)

Though on Monday they did have to compete with two shows that got a combined 27M+ viewers.

.....it was a pretty enjoyable episode. I liked Barney defending his relationship with Robin to Ted. That was nice and strong. Also liked the gag with Marshall at the cafe talking to the Italian chick.

The drop in ratings clearly didn't have to do with lack of interest, though. The previous episode was pretty huge.

Definetly was a combination between the terrorist attack and the long break.

Yeah, it was a huge news story nationwide, man. I bet if you look at the ratings for the cable news sites they were way up on Monday evening.

The numbers for the Voice and Dancing with stars were not down. It had nothing to do with the bombing, unless only the fans of HIMYM were watching the news. It may have affect some people in that they forgot there was a new episode, but for the most part it is CBS screwing with the schedule.

Today is final episode before the big season finales happen.

Next week(May 6th) and following week(May 13th) have connecting titles. I believe May 13th is 1hr finale, but May 6th episode essentially connects in with that too.

Missed the first 10 mins of this one so I didn't get the full effect, but from what I saw it didn't look particularly good. I'll watch the whole thing tomorrow and see if my opinion changes.
