A JJ Abrams Star Wars movie would be...really odd.

Brad Bird or Spielberg are the only guys who satisfy my star wars nerd.

I think Spielberg would be great at least for the first film and then have Bird or Stanton do the other two.

At least they have someone with a proven track record putting out a treatment and possibly writing the whole shebang.

Spielberg has already said that he would never do a Star Wars film.

Yeah the writing is more important then the director to me, I liked everything that was mentioned in that article about wanting to bring back Han, Luke, and Leia.

Regardless of who directs, I hope they continue the story of Luke Skywalker. Know the story was supposedly always about Darth Vader (Anakin), but as a kid growing up, Star wars was all about Luke becoming a Jedi. Would love to see that story continued on the big screen, especially now that Mark Hammil is old enough to play Luke Skywalker at an age where he could be the ObiWan or even Yoda for this generation.
