I got my tickets for opening night in IMAX for the first showing on December 17th at 7pm and tickets for the 10:45pm viewing as well. Also, I got tickets for the 18th at 1:15pm in IMAX.

3 viewing in less then 24 hours. I'm so excited. I'll see it a few more times after Christmas.

If it's at 7 PM, how early do you think I should get there to be able so my crowd of 6 can sit together? And not in the front row...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

                  I was born in 1977.

My dad took me to see Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi when I was a toddler/young kid.

I grew up on this, like a LOT of folks.

All of those feelings I got when I watched Star Wars as a kid, hit me like a ton of bricks right as the Star Wars "Love theme" hits and the Millennium Falcon flies into a canyon being chased by Tie Fighters.

                  THAT'S the moment.

Never been so excited to see a movie in my life.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

My only expectation for the movie is for it to be entertaining. I don't think it's possible for it to emulate the depth of mythic story that the other six achieved, mostly because the man behind the curtain retired and Disney chose not to use his versions of VII-IX. An entertaining film that doesn't take away or negate anything else in the saga isn't setting the bar terribly high. I fear that nostalgia will (and already has) not let this movie be seen on its own and evaluated independently of the the feelings and memories it conjures from forty years ago. It sets unrealistic expectations and risks fan backlash against the ST because it will not and cannot fit into their narrowly-tailored view of how these movies should be.

With that said, I've watched the trailer four times now. [emoji16]

The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.

I am legitimately excited for the Finn character.

                          And of course, Kylo Ren.

Kinda cool story - My brother is friends with Adam Driver(Kylo Ren) He lived across the street from us, and he and my younger brother were in drama together in high school. I remember him from coming over to the house occasionally, but man do I wish I would have paid more attention now.

I like how they are managing to keep Luke Skywalker out of these trailers.

We did get our first Leia sighting in this trailer.
