Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I see no issue with the marketing. We've had the teaser, full length trailer, star wars celebration panels, comic-con panels, behind the scenes vid, multiple images from magazines, merchandise reveals & disney presentations at their current event. Also when the movie was first announced that was enough to get people pumped up. As for the story I don't need everything layed out for me before I go see it. Alot of the trailers nowadays tend to reveal to much in my opinion."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Yeah I don't see any problem with marketing, they've gotten tons of hype already on a movie that practically sells itself. I'm sure the marketing is only going to ramp up to the usual levels these blockbusters reach, I'm sure there will be another trailer too

In the case of Star Wars, I'm hoping for a "less is more" approach in regards to any upcoming trailers. I thought the last trailer was perfect; gave you an idea of what was going on and who some of the main characters are, without divulging too much regarding plot/story.Currently Playing:

Like others said, the marketing is fine. It's Star Wars, it sells itself. The only people who need a trailer to pump them up are those who know nothing about Star Wars. It should be a solid movie, and the intrigue of going to Disney and JJ Abrams directing, Han Solo and co. returning has people sold already. They've done excellent marketing.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Disagree big time. Star wars 1 and 2 really sucked and I need something to pump me up and to prove to me that it is not going to be a repeat of those movies. It has nothing to do with knowing nothing about star wars. I would know just has much about the movie has I do now if we had never had a trailer. Batman vs superman comes out like 3 months after this movie and I know more about that movie and we didn't get a trailer at comic con like we should have.Comment

Yeah 2 trailers that might has while been 1 second long because they told us nothing about the movie and like 95% of the time the only way to much of a movie is revealed is if you watch all the tv spots not just the trailers.Comment

I'm a Star Wars geek, so I'm seeing this regardless of people's opinions. It's also quite refreshing that a movie as huge as this is so wrapped up in mystery in this day and age.Last edited by Leon; 08-17-2015, 11:19 AM.Comment

It's not like you need to see it on day 1. If anybody is so concerned about a movie being any good, wait for reviews then decide for yourself if you want to see it or not.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Why go through all the hassle of dealing with the constant crying at 3-4 in the morning, the sleepless nights, etc? Just plan a vacation and go to Disneyland...that **** is for everyone of all ages. Hell my college last year planned our senior trip to DisneyWorld. But it's the same point.
I would welcome all the crying so that I can experience that "holy **** that's ****ing awesome" look on both our faces when we get in the Falcon. That's well worth it.
Its too much of a hassle to make a trip like that just for myself and my girl. Its not like going to the movies, but for my kid to experience that joy, I'll plan that in a heartbeat.Comment

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment
