You've got to give it to the BWE writers. They really have the balls to kill off fan favorites and even main characters.

Also I'm sure I've said this before, but BWE really does have the best collection of characters of any show that I've watched. I know that some of them are based off of real people, but Jimmy, Harrow, Van Alden, Capone, Eli, Manny, Gyp, Narcisse, Knox, Chalky, etc. have all be great characters as well as great actors. This show really has had a terrific cast.

      I totally agree.

I knew the history on Johnny Torrio, so no surprise about the outcome. I have a feeling Al Capone will be even more prominent next season.

What's with Van Alden picking Eli up? The creator of the show said that Nucky would have absolutely killed Eli if the kid hadn't come in.

      What a brutal fight scene.

That fight scene was awesome. I admit I had my hand over my eyes in a "I don't want to look, but I can't look away" pose towards the end.

I think I would put it ahead of

Wow. What a season finale. I thought for sure Narciuss was gonna get it. Totally didn't expect that outcome. I'll also admit I got teary-eyed when I saw Harrow's mask on the ground. I literally screamed "Oh no!" out loud. Really sad so see him go, but I guess it was time.

I'm really liking Van Alden's character even more now. He's completely abandoned his values as an officer. Seems like he has embraced that this is who he is now. Really looking forward to more of his story with Capone next season.

              But man, Harrow! Damn.

Hate to lose Harrow however, season 5 should give us the rise to power for both Capone and Luciano. Their stories alone should fill multiple seasons.

Sad to see Harrow go. Still can't believe he fudged that shot up. Eli went out like a champ.

                    Both were great though.
It beats Tony and Ralph's fight because although that fight was awesome and unexpected, it was also one sided.

I would put Dan VS The Captain (Deadwood) as the best TV fight ever.

                      Yeah, that show looks good.

Something I didn't know is that True Detective will be an anthology series featuring a different story and different set of characters each season.

In this season McConaughey and Harrelson track a serial killer in Louisiana over a 17 year period. Season one will consist of 8 episodes.

I was holding on to all hope that Harrow had made it; though I knew there wasn't a chance. When it showed his perfect face, my heart sunk and I too went, "oh no." I just laid there after the show unable to move. What great writing when those types of feelings are created.

Al Capone. It has been interesting witnessing his growth. From the scene we were introduced to him when he and Jimmy were just two guys on the outside looking in, totally unimportant. Capone was a screw up; a guy that you would never guess would become one of the all time vaunted criminals. It will be interesting seeing him continue to transform into the character we've only known about from history.

BWE is another one of my shows that provides such unbelievable entertainment. I can hardly sit through a movie these days. The best story telling is happening on television.

                              Insert HBOGo for Netflix

The good thing is, I assume you have HBOGo, so you should have a plethora of good shows to choose from if you haven't already watched them. The Wire, Six Feet Under and The Sopranos would be my Top 3 suggestions.

I have HBOgo I might try Sopranos. Watched the other too when they were running. I was at age where I might note fully understood them though. Kind of like watching Martin now and getting jokes I missed lol.

BWE kindve dragged after Jimmy's death. I kept thinking what's the point of me caring about Gillian(who gave me the creeps). I was also not a big fan of the Doctor being an antagonist. He annoyed me more than anything. But season 4 definitely intrigued me a ton.

My favorite line of the series came when Eli was released from prison and said to Mickie* what I assume a lot of people including me was thinking. "How the **** are you still alive" Lmao
