Saw it at 10 pm last night. And it was awesome! Better than Rocky Balboa I think

Liked it a lot better than Rocky Balboa.

Real life boxers Andre Ward and Tony Bellew did some good work in this film.

Great chemistry between Rocky and Baby Creed (don't call him that!!).

Stallone could get an Oscar nom for this one.

Hoping to see this sometime soon. Always love that these movies stay filmed in Philadelphia!

I haven't seen the last one but was discussing this release with my brother at Thanksgiving. We were trying to remember the villains from each, and he mentioned Mason "The Line" Dixon from Rocky Balboa. Had to figure out what he was all about... turns out it was Antonio Tarver. I'm no boxing fan but I recognized his name as a professional boxer and a good one at that.

Did not realize that that movie came out almost 10 years ago. Really?

Jaybee, I forgot to ask, did you recognize the trainer/manager at Mickeys as Anslo Garrick from the Blacklist in season one.

I do now, LOL. Honestly, I was trying to figure out where I saw him, I just knew he played a bad guy.

Went to see at a late show last night with the gf - Great movie. I had written this off as an unnecessary sequel, but I was really wrong. First movie we've clapped at the end in a long time. Wonderfully directed, great performances (Stallone in particular was impressive), and a very nice somewhat "modern" soundtrack while paying homage to the classic/iconic Rocky theme. Really enjoyed the movie. Also does a great job at showcasing some of Philadelphia; makes me want to visit.

A side note; there was a guy sitting a few seats down from me that was REALLY getting into the fight scenes, literally sitting on the edge of his seat and yelling as if it were a real fight lol - at one point jumped out of his seat. Was a bit irritating but I think for most of us in the theater it actually added to the movie experience

HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Another side note: Our son wanted a few fight scenes in the theater, he was sick of people on the phone during the movie.

I agree, Spank, I haven't clapped at a movie in a long time.

Saw this with my dad and we both thought it was an excellent movie. Stallone did a good job, and Michael B. Jordan has come a long way from Wallace on The Wire. I thought both real life boxers did a good job, although I though/wanted Creed to fight the guy that KO'd him early in the movie. Maybe the next one?

Yeah, I think it's better that Creed fight that guy in the next movie.

(Played by real boxing great Andre Ward).
