Saw this today. Absolutely loved it. Sly and MBJ absolutely killed it. Very good movie. Fully expecting a sequel.

Re: Rocky Spin-off "Creed" in the Works
Dont forget about Gabe Rosado (MW lost to GGG and Lemieux). He was the fighter Creed fought in his first fight. I thought that first fight scene was one of the more realistic fights scenes I've ever seen in a movie.Comment

I can't speak highly enough of this movie. Loved absolutely everything involved, the acting, music, nostalgia, really made me emotionally invested, etc

Re: Rocky Spin-off "Creed" in the Works
I absolutely loved this movie, it's one of my favorite movies that I have seen in quite some time. I did grow up watching the Rocky movies repeatedly because my step dad loved them. My wife who has never watched a Rocky movie in her life, thought it was great. Hopefully they do a second movie.Comment

Same here, one of my favorites of the last couple years, Ryan Cooglar is such a talented director. Walking to the ring with Creed felt so authentic even my girlfriend was ready to fight.
He put in music at perfect times too.

Re: Rocky Spin-off "Creed" in the Works
Fantastic movie.
I watched SouthPaw a few weeks ago finally and then this tonight and man, boxing movies have certainly made a comeback.
This movie was just fun and certainly heartwarming in some ways. The acting, casting, music, etc. was all really well done for my taste.
SpoilerI'm all in, assuming we get Creed 2.Comment

I loved it, just saw it last night.
Not corny at all and very well done, awesome way to bring the "Rocky" universe back in a fresh and awesome way"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I loved how they used real fighters. I wish I can find the clip of Jordan getting hit for real. Yikes

Rocky Spin-off "Creed" in the Works
It looks like when he finished he realized he forgot a few people, he corrected it backstage I believe. I get the feeling he wasn't expecting to win and was shocked by it
Read he went back during commercial when he realized his error to thank Jordan and the director.

Re: Rocky Spin-off "Creed" in the Works
Solid movie man. Just wish the relationship between MBJ and Philicia Rashaad (spelling?) would have been a little more fleshed out and that the boxing (while still good) had a little more nuance to it and not just an assortment of power punches that are standard in most rocky flicks. Those are my only complaints.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
