    Re: Homeland - Season 3

I've really enjoyed this season, so far. This show was always about Carrie and Saul for me, I never really connected with Brody as a character. Would've been plenty happy if he had gone through with the bombing in Season 1, as was intended.

Carrie/Iran stuff was good I suppose.

Too bad Dana and the loser didn't crash into that car. Why did the guy have to wake up? WHY?!

      Other than that, pretty ho-hum.

Honestly I see no reason for why the Brodys need to be in this show anymore. Their arc has run its course.

      .....

Damn shame this show is getting Dexter'd.

That is what I don't get. No reason to keep them around.

I am officially not recommending this show to anyone anymore.

In what universe would she have even gone to Carrie for help?

Well she went there because she's CIA and presumably could find a way to track her down. And Jessica said that since Carrie was right about Brody to begin with that she could trust what she has to say.

As for the place of Brody in the show, I disagree. You can't just have a congressman be involved in all this **** then have the storyline dissipate without any resolution, justice, or explanation whatsoever. He'll be back and there's a place for him.

I think Brody comes back soon. Hopefully it's to wrap up the whole familys storyline.

I fully blame Showtime for the show's demise after seeing what happened to Dexter.

This show would have turned out much better if Brody would have gone through with it at the end of season 1.

I'm good with how they're handling Brody....focusing on the larger story. This interplay between Saul and the eventual CIA head should play out interesting.

I'm not sure, but as far as Patinkin, he seems to be a pure actor's actor. Seems to be one of the few left who got into the field exclusively for the sake of the art form. His fame just naturally came afterwards.

They let the award shows get the better of common sense writing.

The show has just been unwatchable since the Season 1 finale.

Disagree slightly, but it hasn't been as good. The fact it won a Golden Globe for Season 2 over Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey is more a reflection of the Golden Globes then anything else.

I didn't think it was that bad last night.

Maybe Dana moving will end that storyline. I doubt it though.
