Re: Gotham
Cheesy dialogue aside, I generally liked the pilot. As a bit of a Batman nerd, hearing/seeing easter-eggs flying left and right was a delight. I'll be tuning in, but I hope they improve on the dialogue cos gawdammit I GET IT ALREADY! YOU'RE JIM ****ING GORDON AND THERE WILL BE A LIGHT!! Hint hint, I wonder what kind of light that would be....
PS. it's only the pilot and I'm already clamoring for Batman with all the foreshadowing. Maybe they should tone it down a notch.Comment

Re: Gotham
Gotham has some good potential, it'd be cool if the show goes long term get an origin story on Joker before he became the JokerComment

Re: Gotham
I haven't watched it, but Teen Titans Go apparently ruined the original Teen Titans animation so I'm skeptical about a live action TT.
on the other hand, a real life Raven has my interest.
wow. much tapatalk. very mobil. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: Gotham
I have two questions regarding the pilot:
Spoiler1) Why are they all saying they killed an innocent man? Sure, he didn't kill Thomas and Martha, but last I checked he fired multiple rounds at Gordon and was about to stab him to death. Seems legit.
2) Furthermore, why would the guy run if he wasn't guilty of something? Maybe he had something to hide still, and given that I'm not sure what it could be... but he would have already understood they're talking about a pearl necklace, something which he knew nothing about. There was no reason for him to run there. He deserved what he got in the end, in my opinion.
Overall the episode was okay, a little fast-paced and the music didn't seem to set the "Gotham" tone that I'm so used to from Nolan's universe. I just hope they can keep the tone real enough, in that humans occupy human-like characteristics. A lot of villains were already introduced, and to be honest I don't care about the majority of them. I'll keep watching, but I need much more Gordon, Bruce, and Selina for sure.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Not too sure on the 2nd question though.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Gotham
Co-sign. That 1st 20 minutes had some dreadful dialogue coupled by hammy delivery by the actors but the last 40 seemed to flow a lot better. Solid cast of actors though. Don't know about the young Bruce and Selina yet...EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
