I think we can expect a few more surprises, before this season is over. The recent episode surprised me. I really didn't see Don Falcone doing that.

Re: Gotham
Hmmm, I wouldn't say literally impossible. But no way am I saying it is going to happen. There is like a 1% chance that it happens.
Also I was watching Law & Order this past weekend. I think it was the original and I came upon the episode in the middle/towards the end. And the fugitive turned out being the same guy that plays the Penguin. He was great in the role as he is with Penguin. Man that guy is a great actor for the roles he had on these shows.Comment

No it's literally impossible. The Simpsons have been on the air for 24 years and are still making new episodes. You can do that when the episodes don't run together and the show is animated... neither true for Gotham. Add to the fact that Gotham is a prequel for a VERY popular tv show/comic book/movie series and running it for 24 years+ would overlap the timeframes. Not to mention, the characters you grow attached to over the years would need to be replaced, etc, etc. It's simply not possible.MLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

Re: Gotham
Yeah... there is absolutely zero chance it runs that long, but I could potentially see a spin-off getting into the actual Batman side of things... maybe something focusing on Batman's dealings with Gordon. Though, they might just let that lie considering the Dark Knight Trilogy does that to some extent.Comment

Re: Gotham
Yeah, since its a FOX series, I guess it could last about as long as any other TV series would last. I guess we fans are getting the same lifespan as CSI has lasted on CBS. The only big difference is that show has multiple spin off series. This series is a series all its own. Of course, NBC has their long-time fan favorite show Law and Order. That show also has spin off series, too. I don't why it is, but cop shows like this one seem to last many seasons. I guess this show has enough to stay fresh to many over 20 demographic that just wants to watch a cop show.Last edited by bradtxmale; 01-27-2015, 09:06 PM.Comment

Re: Gotham
You can't handle this as though it's your average, run of the mill crime drama, because it simply isn't. It has its own peg that it has to fit into for it to work. You can keep this show reasonably going until Bruce Wayne hits a certain age, but at that point, that has to be it because then, you're starting to get into the focus being more on Batman and less on Jim Gordon. That's why it won't last as long as you think it will. It's not that it isn't a worthy show, but that there's only so far you can go with the concept before you're forced to switch gears. Perhaps I'm all wet on this, but that's the way I see it.Comment

Re: Gotham
Bruce hasn't been in the past two episodes, without really noticing, so I don't think a shift is really necessary.
I welcome more headbutting with the Commissioner, though. Hopefully they develop that more.
