Yeah, it really looks like Tyrese is taking this loss terribly.

I just saw this video where his friend describes people trying to get Paul out of the car. It must be traumatizing seeing one of your friends facing death and even with your efforts, you ultimately can't save him.

Man that was so tough to hear. As one who has lost a friend in an accident I couldn't imagine being at the scene seeing your friend/brother pass away in a tragic way like that. It is good to know in his last moments his boys were there to risk their lives to save him. It makes me think of my boys back home who would do the same.

Damn, I read this before bed last night but went to bed thinking and hoping it was another internet hoax. RIP to Paul, I pray for his daughter and family. Such a tragic loss to a great actor, will truly miss his work.

Famous people get recognition when they die because they are just that, famous. They live and die under a spot light. I don't agree with it of course especially when someone dies with them like with Paul Walker but people act like they don't understand the concept. Some random guy you have never met dies and you would be like oh that's sad but someone you have seen time and again be it a movie or whatever will undoubtedly have a bigger impact because you are more familiar with them.

There's nothing new to that concept, though.

What I mean is I think we have always felt that way. Unfortunately for others, believe it or not, Paul Walker means more to me than a stranger I never have nor would have encountered. Of course, there's always the butterfly effect, but you know what I mean. He means more to me than my grandma means to any of you guys, therefore his death is relatively sadder among the crowd.

I just popped in Fast Five earlier. Man, things like that train scene are really close to this. Same with one of Han's scenes in Tokyo Drift.

Re: Paul Walker killed in car accident

Been following the news about it. Sounds especially tragic. The guy driving was a hugely successful portfolio manager. Paul's business partner and financial manager. Guy was a trained racer, not some reckless joyrider. Car was just a monster, described as driving on a knife's edge. Basically a street legal racecar. They said both Paul's friend and the driver's 8 year old son came to the wreck and tried to get at them.

All that said, it is really sad, the more I read about what a great guy Paul Walker seemed to be. Just got done reading a story about how he bought a wedding ring for a guy who was about to be redeployed to Iraq back in 2003. They didn't even know who he was. I know we can get way too deep into hero worship, but this guy really tried to not be a "Star" and used his fame to try and make a difference. It's always sad when we lose people like that.... RIP, both of you. God bless your families as they deal with this....

They have said the bodies were burned so badly that it's going to take a couple of days to officially identify them.

Yeah by dental records. Insane. Sounds like they were trapped and might have burned to death.

Wow. Sounds like something straight from a Final Destination movie.

Re: Paul Walker killed in car accident

came across this article and found it kind of interesting.

Always Evolving's Porsche Carerra GT -- recognizable for its unusual red color and black wheels -- is a difficult car to drive for even professionals, with one top driver calling its handling “scary." Those of us at Autoweek who have driven the car will likely concur.

Always Evolving, a car race and tuner store operated by CEO Roger Rodas, a financial consultant who became friends and business partners with actor Paul Walker at a racetrack, acquired the car last spring, and used it often at car shows and in promotional ads. Rodas was driving when the car crashed, killing him and passenger Walker in a California business park Saturday afternoon.

There were fewer than 1,300 of the V-10, 610-hp, midengine cars built from 2004-07, with less than half coming to the U.S. The car that crashed, number 479, was one of 38 cars offered for sale by Always Evolving's store in Sun Valley, Calif.; it was listed as a 2005 model with 3,283 miles. The price is not listed; the car sold new for about $450,000.

It was offered by a dealer in Dallas for $339,000 when it had 1,707 miles, and then the car was listed in the duPont Registry by an exotic car dealer in Pompano Beach, Fla., when it had 2,100 miles. A dealer in Fort Lauderdale listed the car for $359,900, with 3,231 miles on it, and by then it had acquired the black wheels that were on the car when Always Evolving had it. Always Evolving was the next owner.

The car was originally purchased from Beverly Hills Porsche in California, in March of 2005. When the second owner in California bought the car in 2007, it had only 456 miles on it, and when it was sold to owner three in Texas in January, 2009, mileage was 1,510. When it was offered for sale in October, 2011, it had gained only 200 miles. The car went to Florida, then Indiana, then back to Florida, then Always Evolving apparently acquired the car last spring, where the license plate, California number 7CCY590, was mounted inside an Always Evolving black frame.

Sadly, you know the rest of the car's history.

                                Weren't they shooting FF7 too?

Celebrity or not, stuff like this is so hard to process. No one deserves to suffer like that. There was an on site video that was shot right after the accident happened where you could here screams coming from the car. Chilling stuff and was incredibly hard to watch.

Paul Walker's character was well documented. He was genuinely one of the good guys in the industry, and it's always sad to lose one of those like this.

Prayers definitely go out to both families involved.
