I didn't think it was that great.

they just punch each other until their dead. Nothing else.

That was it, no intriguing villain, no crazy dilemma for Superman, just punching.

I enjoyed it, my kids loved it more, personally I still think Returns was a much better movie. It had more feeling and told a better story.

As someone who likes both Batman and Superman I have no idea how to feel reading this thread lol. I guess every superhero has it's flaws.

As usual i'm excited for this like any other superhero movie made recently. Never read a comic book, don't feel like spending the $$, so most of my knowledge of these characters come from previous movies or cartoons. The Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network was one of my favorite shows as a kid, so i'm really interested to see where this and future DC movies go.

Why shouldn't they? I know Heath Ledger put on a great performance, but by the time this is out it'll have been 8 years. Joker/Luthor in a Batman/Superman movie makes too much sense really.

I know but trying to launch the new Batman with the Joker is a risk. That guy can put on a great performance but people with inevitably compare it to the ridiculous standard of Heaths joker. I just think it would be better to tackle that with the second/ third of the new batman movie. But you're right, the joker/lex in the same movie could be great

They're gonna have to get creative to finesse screen time and character building for all these characters. The list is getting long. Seems like a mistake to stuff Luthor and Joker in the same film to share with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman along with their side goons like Lois and Alfred (and you have to imagine at least one other JL member will cameo).

But then again The Avengers did alright with all the characters they had to fit in one movie.

Good luck to whoever wins the Joker role. Either they blow Ledger out of the water or never hear the end of how it didnt measure up. Something tells me he won't even have enough screen time/plot to stand a chance.

Btw this is coming out in 2016? Shocking that they wont take 2015 to reboot, or start legs on another member of the JL like Green Lantern. Get the ball moving on the JL movie.

I believe they were shooting for a summer 2015 release to compete with Avengers 2 but they had some scheduling conflicts plus I think they changed the script mid-production if I heard right.
Fun fact: the new release date of May 6, 2016 is the same day Marvel is planning the release of Captain America 3. This rivalry is fun.

DC is just kinda like "yeah, let's throw all this **** against the wall and see what happens."

This is why people make fun of DC. They always try to do crazy, stupid **** like this. Here's to hoping they don't manage to make this great idea a huge cluster****, but I"m not exactly hopeful.

Thats why Im surprised they don't have a movie out this year or next to help boost the eventual JL movie. They have alot of work to do building that up. A film in two years is a while, they need something to fill the time and build anticipation imo.

But maybe they feel like the other members can't hold their own water in standalone films so they'd rather throw them into Superman Batman hypbrids.

I'll give this Superman v Batman some slack since this isnt the JL movie. Its more of a setup from what I'm seeing, and that's fair enough.

Batman & Robin. Batman Forever. Superman 3. Superman 4. Supergirl.

Then again, they're in "so bad, it's good" territory so I wouldn't call them a **** up.
