Kimmel told him. You'll see it in the directors cut of the movie.

I think it would be more interesting if the world knew Clark was Superman.

I watched this with two of my coworkers last night and we ranged from "it was pretty good, but had some smh moments" to "it was amazing". I fell in-between. I thought the first hour or so was all over the place, but once a certain scene happened
          Spoiler
it was awesome from that point on.

There were definitely some head scratching moments like the Martha thing, but there were a lot of moments were I marked out as well. I really enjoyed Wonder Women which kind of surprised me because I think Superman is kind of lame, mainly just because in Man of Steel he just had one move... slam bad guys through buildings. I thought it was cool how the tied all of his destruction from MoS Wayne Enterprises and an employee being injured. Jesse Eisenberg wouldn't be my first choice for Lex Luther, but I thought was okay considering how the portrayed Lex.

I'm not a comic reader so i missed the majority of the Easter Eggs in this movie and after reading them I have to say that I have even more respect for the film as a whole. I can't wait to see Justice League and everyone's Origin story's.

At $682.9 million that's a pretty steep hill to $1b.

Ha ha. Maybe next time pick a better film maker. You think they would have learned after how horrible Man of Steel was. Guess they don't have any movie critics working at Warner bros who could have told them that the film is horse sh*t.

Re: Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice

So I kept telling myself this couldn't be that bad. It just couldn't.

                    Just watched it.

                    Ouch, man. Ouch.

Is it the worst movie I've ever seen? No. Is it terrible? No. It's bad, in my opinion, but it has some bright spots. Unfortunately for a movie featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, that's just not gonna cut it.

How did this happen? Is Snyder just surrounded by "yes men" or something? Was anyone around to say "yo maybe that's not a good idea," or "for sure lets do a better job with that part." I understand they don't just wanna copy the Avengers but how did this movie happen? I feel like Synder took like 3-4 potential movies and mashed them together into one Frankenstein style combo.

I believe Snyder is a "comic book guy," and I believe he wants to make a good comic book movie. I do appreciate the little touches and references he threw in there to some iconic source material. I just don't think some of these characters are right for him.

They gotta ditch Snyder for Justice League. I don't know if there are contracts in place that makes a move like that impossible or not but I really hope they give the keys to someone else. Honestly, I think Snyder can make a good super hero movie. I actually was, more or less, somewhat satisfied with the Batman side of things. Give him a Batman standalone, or a Punisher movie (I know that's Marvel, but I'm sure he's free to work any company he wants right?), or Deathstroke, something like that, but this isn't the right guy for the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, and other Justice Leaguers. Snyder doesn't do a good job with the personal relationships. At the end of the day I felt very little effort was put into making me care about many of these characters or making me believe many of these characters actually care about each other.

On the plus side, Wonder Woman was cool, Affleck is a fine Batman/Wayne, and, uhhhhhhhh......uhhhhhhh well yeah you got that going for you. The stuff with other meta-humans was cool enough as well. The action was pretty fun even when it didn't make sense.

I guess the thing that pains me the most is knowing that there are things covered in this movie that could have made fine stand-alone movies if done well, and now we won't ever got those things done right in movie format unless they totally scrap this round and reboot again at some point.

Help me Suicide Squad-Kenobi, You're My (and WB's) Only Hope.

                    Edit:

Watchmen had a directors cut that was much better than the theatrical release, so let's hope we get that here too.

I wanted to like this film, I mean it's a comic film with Supes and Batman you couldn't possibly screw that up.

Well they sure as **** did, some of these guys are too kind. This film was brutal, an amalgamation of about 3 or 4 different films. I just didn't feel the chemistry between all the main characters in this movie, incredibly long and all over the place. I did not like this film, not in the slightest.

Maybe the Blu Ray release (which ought to be soon lol) will have some redeeming qualities.

The gimmick for the home release is 30 more minutes for the rated R cut, there's been no mention of a director's cut.

Really could be trimmed down to about 2 hours, with 10-15 minutes of things moved to after the credits (ie revealing the contents of Luthor's data breach, just show WW's photo in the actual cut of the movie and at best a glimpse of the other items).

So I listened to Kevin Smiths review of the movie last night and it opened my eyes a little. I will at least admit that there area bunch of little things in the movie that open up potential very cool storylines in the justice league movies.

I watched it a few nights ago.

When asked if someone should waste time seeing it I said, "You should probably watch it and form your own opinion and then never watch it again".

It was forgettable and I really, really wanted to like it. There were moments in the first 30 minutes or so that I actually dozed off for a few seconds.

I didn't pay for the movie or my food, luckily.

I liked the casting, especially the take on Lex. I also liked the fight scenes, especially with all three involved. I just can't get past the story pacing and execution.

In 1989 Tim Burton's Batman opened at $42m. It had a larger 3rd Friday than Batman v Superman, $6.065 million vs. $6.045 million.

Absolutely loved it. Blown away. And that soundtrack too. Wow. I honestly don't know what's not to like. Looooooove the darker take on these films.

Time to go home and watch Man of Steel again.
