Yeah that's what it says....it's a new type of hdmi input from what I can gather that also provides a power source. Could be way off maybe someone with more tech knowledge can elaborate.

MHL provides a power source, but it also allows for control of the Roku with your standard remote as it allows that type of communication between the TV and the device.

No but what I meant was I don't think the roku that comes with the tv will work in a regular hdmi port. It will only work in a MHL port if your TV has one.

Ah OK got it. Unless those are in newer tvs I'm not sure. I have a smart tv sharp 60 inch I bought a couple of years ago so if anything is new within the last year I doubt it

The guys over at slick deals have a great thread for all things price protection. Basically you buy the tv now wait for BF to roll around and initiate the claim with discover providing them with the receipt of your purchase, the discover statement showing your purchase and a copy of the ad showing the model # and the lower price. They process your claim and send you a check for the difference.

Yeah this was a really clutch find because I was going to go with the 65 inch vizio at walmart on thanksgiving. I'm a lot happier going with the sharp as all indications were the vizio was one of those " just for black friday" units so the quality was up in the air.

The sharp has pretty good reviews, ended up being even cheaper than the vizio, and keeps me home on thanksgiving. Win/win/win situation.

Heck my TV just shipped from abt, it might end up even getting here by thanksgiving lol.

Everything I'm using is online so I hope I don't run into any troubles. The receipt was sent to me via e-mail since I ordered from a website. The black friday ad is going to be pulled from HHGreg's website, I just have to figure out a way to time stamp it.

P.S. If anyone run's into a good deal on a wi-fi router please let me know. Need one with really, really, really good range.
