Why does it have to be strictly one from the comics? I'm one of the biggest Joker fans I know, and I'm perfectly fine with Ayer and Leto putting their own interpretation on the character.

Im in greeament, It doesn't really. I want them to do spin it their own way. Joker has been so many different things, why not this.

I watched the videos this morning. It didn't show a whole lot and you couldn't hear Joker's voice, but I don't know....so far I'm just not feeling this. Hopefully the trailer changes my mind.

Personally, I love the look of Leto's Joker. Definitely seems more like a cold-blooded, sadistic punk with mental issues. The last thing I wanted was a Heath rehash. People need to just let that iteration be. It's not coming back.

I love that they're going for a different, more radical Joker with Leto.

Margot looks phenomenal, as always. Great casting, you can tell in her other movies that Harley Quinn would be a piece of cake for her dialogue-wise.

I'm not a big comic book guy, but I did enjoy the Nolan Batman movies immensiely. I don't know how well Leto will do as the Joker, but it just makes me sad knowing we could have been seeing Heath Ledger play the role one more time. It doesn't even need to be said how amazing he was.

Hopefully Leto can at least somewhat fill those shoes.

It's red apples to green apples. The role is still the Joker.

I'm sorry, I don't know enough about the film, or the cannon (like I said, not really a comic book fan) so forgive me for thinking the Joker would basically be the Joker in this movie too. My bad.

I've followed this movie cautiously but with sincere curiousity as well. I really want to know what kind of movie they are trying to make.

I think a lot of people fell in love with the Batman universe in the Nolan trilogy, and this is probably going to be nothing at all like those movies, which may turn some of the more casual fans off at first. I feel like this one might play out more like a live action version of a Batman animated movie, which is great.

I've tried not to overreact to the Joker stuff as its come out. I'm sure it's important for them to keep the core essence (insanity, mayhem) of the character in tact while also reimaging him to avoid the inevitable comparisons to Ledger's timeless performance. Leto is in a tough spot and I'm going to give him a bunch of slack.

My only complaint thus far is I hate when big characters aren't big in the movies. Like Thing from the last two F4 movies, Juggernaut from X3, and Croc in this one.

Im lost as to what Joker variation they're going for. I mean the suit reminds me of Snyder's most recent Joker story but the tattoos throw me for a loop

I think that Leto can pull off a good Joker, but he just looks like a playboy with the way that he is dressed. Guess we will have to wait and see how this turns out. Killer Kroc looks way too small and they should of gone with someone a little taller and a bit more jacked.

Hopefully we get the first trailer later this summer, would be interesting to see what this is about.

There's some leaked video on Facebook of the Joker driving around. I guess it's a scene with the Batmobile chasing him, but none of the videos show the Batmobile.

There is a video of the batmobile chasing the joker and harley. IGN has posted it. It apparently the same batmobile from the SVB, meaning Affleck will probably cameo in this movie, making them the same universe, which Im sure will upset some.
