    Re: RIP Stuart Scott 1965-2015

I didn't much care for his broadcast style but news of his illness and then news of his passing was really, truly, absolutely devastating and heartbreaking. Such a shame. I had a hard time fighting back the tears and watching Rich Eisen's video was gut-wrenching. I also find myself nostalgic for the times that I actually looked forward to Sportscenter and ESPN in general. Sad that that time is long gone and even sadder that a man like Stuart Scott is now gone too.

God bless him and his family.

      Stuart Scott's Courage

I grew up watching Stuart he looked like me and talked liked me and my friends talked. No one before or after him did that. It's a very very powerful thing to see someone who you can identify with doing awesome amazing things.

Stuart, if you're someone reading these..please know that the world of sports and well hell, the journalism business in general will never be the same without you. You were the true definition of a hero, thank you for the memories.

Dan Patrick discussing Stuart Scott on his show.

It's almost like losing a friend, because Stuart Scott has been welcomed into my home for most of my sports viewing life. My favorite Sportscenter episodes were the ones hosted by any combination of Stuart Scott, Dan Patrick, Rich Eisen, or Keith Olbermann.

And Dan is right, Stu owned that speech at the ESPYs.

I have a lot of good memories of Stuart Scott on ESPN when I was in high school and college. Loved turning on SportsCenter in the morning and seeing him.
