That was a really good movie. Not just a really good Star Wars movie. From the opening scene you could tell it was going to be a very original story and the action sequences were incredible. My only complaint might be that it was so good I almost would have rather it been two movies and dive even deeper into the story it told so much more could have been done, but by no means does that mean parts were glossed over. It was one of those movies I didn't want to end.

I liked it a lot, but I also think the experience was mostly strengthened with the die-hards around me in the theater. If The Force Awakens was made for a new generation, then Rogue One was definitely made for the old generation. A lot of callbacks and references that asked for Episodes VII, VIII, and IX to: "Hold up for a moment!" I thought this was a cool story to tell.

Now early on, I thought this film was plaguing itself with what the other prequels had trouble with: jumping around scene-to-scene and place-to-place far too rapidly, disengaging the audience. I do not think this film started off strongly at all, but wow did it wrap up and end very strongly.

This earns any VFX awards and nods as well. Moments in the final battle were truly breathtaking.

Rogue One solidifies what all of us know we want -- a Darth Vader solo film.

Got back from the movie about 20 minutes ago and over all I thought it was kind of good episode 5-7 blow this out of the water though this movie was pretty slow from start to finish but man the Vader stuff and even more so the last Vader part was epic! The last part with Vader may be the best part of any star wars movie!

I think I'd want them to stay away from a Vader solo film. For one, they tried to go back and flesh out his backstory with the prequels and the result wasn't great lol. Aside from that, the mystery is so much a part of his character for me. It's like Yoda where you see through the eyes of the characters in the universe, every time Vader pops up **** gets serious and people get afraid, you already know what time it is. Small doses like the ones in this movie are exactly where Vader shines I think.

Man this was real good, blows Force Awakens out the water. Everything in Scarif was great, the last 5-10 minutes were phenomenal

Easily in my top 3 favorite Star Wars movies, possibly #2. Caught the first showing at 7, thought it was so good, I ran it back for the 10:15 showing. It was so damn good. That last 10 minutes were something special. Best Vader scene ever.

Was the end part with Vader really only 15 seconds? I thought it was like 1-2 minutes and if it really was only 15 seconds he sure did a lot in only 15 seconds lol.

Theatres need to show a double feature starting with this and then go right into A New Hope.
K2 was awesome. I want a prequel of sorts to Rogue One featuring Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus. Either that or a TV series of the two.

I loved this movie. Wow. Watched it at the big Imax here and I'm nearly deaf.

Also the Dunkirk sneak peak was incredibly tense. Can't wait.

                          This movie.

The beginning was a little jarring with all the jumping around. But my goodness, the Battle of Scarif. And that was the Vader we all deserved.

I loved all the little Easter eggs. The pilots at the Battle of Scarif who participated in the Death Star attack in A New Hope. The fact that they used special effects instead of recasting certain roles.

And did I mention Vader being all Vader.

The only small and minor thing that felt off for me was Vaders voice. The difference in an 85 year old man's voice and a 45 year old man's voice was easily audible to my ears. But still, thats only a minor thing. But if Vader ever gets a larger role in any forthcoming Disney films those shoes James Earl Jones wears are going to be difficult to fill if Disney has to look elsewhere to fill them.

I thought the movie was amazing. I was in awe how they did Tarkin, so authentic. Loved the way they had Red Leader and the others in there as well. Perfect movie.
