I thought the same for me (Might not be your problem though).

I went through the upgrade/etc.. Until it got to the point where it rebooted.
Well laptop screen was blank.. figured it was doing something so let it go. Hour or so later I check and it's still black.

Turns out (I have laptop hooked to my HDTV also) the laptop screen was blank but during the update/re-boot.. it was only showing up on my TV screen... lol

There as a status ring etc.. showing the progress etc..
After it finished that and rebooted all was fine.

I was talking about NBA2K14 which wouldn't work once I upgraded.

      Everything else was A-OK.

Do you have 2k15? That one still played fine for me after the upgrade (I don't have 2k14)

                Why?

Because people love free ****, bug, glitches, or otherwise. Smart move to make it free. I'm still waiting however.

                  Or 8 was just that bad. That's why I upgraded. If I had 7 I wouldn't but 8 sucks.

I don't have it yet either. Must still be a nobody

                      I am intrigued by some who may have it. Question;

Win10 is suppose to know much about you...(Well Cortana that is) While some may think this is intrusive, many others see more opportunities to link up with other interests groups/factions/news groups/ marketing interests etc. etc... in your browser more than usual? Meaning, more of what you want as sources of information being shared?

                      If yes....

Which is already similar to what others are doing, what does Win10 do that separates itself from the others? (Besides Cortana LOL)

I dont use cortana and dont care for it so it's off.

I upgraded because it takes up minimal resources to operate and really is kind of a mix of 7 and 8.

It doesnt have to be in tablet mode and has plenty of customizations which i dont have to download programs for.

I'm not experiencing the bugs you mention Bolt whatever that may be.

Windows 8 in the beginning was a MUCH more rocky experience with certain drivers not working and crap and was a huge headache.

This however is not that and any sharing features are turned off.

Yeah, I don't use Cortana at all myself or any live tiles even really. It's just overall a better OS on just about every level, people finding performance gains in games just from the lower overhead. DX12 should enable some pretty nice things once the games are here supporting it also.

I guess it is Cortana that's the main selling point. It's interesting to hear from gamers who don't care to use her but will see the benefits in gaming as a huge selling point. However, Microsoft wants this OS to be more than just for gaming. It's banking on having 3 billion devices in 3 years and expects many of us will be, upgrading our pcs in the future with Win10 (if we didn't do it now). Microsoft still believes in the power of the pc. It has too.

So I guess the question is, besides gaming, will many of us still rely on our home pc in the future? I'll still rely on it for work so for me, yes.

My computer runs so much better with win 10 on it. Also haven't really noticed much as far as glitches and bugs go.
