Yeah, as I said, its all around a better OS. Memory and file management are 2 of the biggest but least sexy features. Running leaner makes it better for nearly every use case.

This is especially coming from 7, as many of these improvements started in 8.

Exactly...plus my 7 install was having issues with Steam and a few other things, and it's all ironed out well now.

Boots up faster and just runs better for me on my desktop.

I like that they're moving towards the Apple OSX style of OS releases....probably charge nothing or minimal for service packs, but keeps fragmentation lower.

My computer boots faster after bios than than the time it takes for my primarily monitor to wake up.

I am still using firefox browser with windows 10. I tried edge but had some stability issues and not having options for add ons keeps me from using it.

Not sure if you're aware but Mozilla has had recent complaints against Microsoft.

I've recently drop using firefox with the exceptions for only testing purposes. Stability and Security issues were a big factor.

If I upgrade to Windows 10 from 7, do I lose my programs and files? Am I wiping the HDD clean and basically "starting over"?

Love them or hate them, they know how to make money because they have so much money. Real nice piece what Business Insider Editor reveals in an easy-to-read piece of what is Microsoft's next big plan. I agree with him especially (Enterprise Management Suite) however, I still believe Live will also play a big part of its success.

Won't notice that anything you have on there personally changed, because it doesn't.
