      Re: Mr Robot

As expected the finale episode is the best episode.

I was right Tyrell holds allegiance to nothing in particular and he antagonizes things as a neutral party. He probably held Elliot's hand as he executed the plan with the full intention of double crossing him by providing E corp with his identity. You have to remember that Tyrell's goal was becoming CTO I am pretty sure he still wants that and will fight tooth and nail for it.

I think the focus of season 2 will be Elliot & Tyrell's interactions.
Will Elliot accept him as a true ally?
Will Tyrell be swayed to stay on Elliot's side or stay true to E corp?
Does Tyrell stay with his wife?
Will Tyrell's wife instead try to take out Elliot "for being in the way?"

So many great questions left to answer.

So I did some reading up on R. Budd Dwyer today, learned a lot. He didn't resign from office so that his wife could collect his pension. Turns out he was innocent after all as the guy that name dropped him lied under oath. Also the 1995 song by Filter "Hey man nice shot" is about his suicide. Always liked that song

Sometime in the next couple of weeks I'm going to catch the documentary about what went down with him (Honest Man: The Life of R.Budd Dwyer).

Not only that. I don't think he's in a position of strength right now.

              Re: Mr Robot

I'm guessing that Tyrell is the number one suspect in the hack, as he is the very definition of "disgruntled ex-employee"...

Elliot's not on their radar, and if Tyrell DID try to throw him under the bus, it would likely fall on deaf ears...

The White Rose's alternate identity may also help keep Elliot out of the cross-hairs...

I found his "Fiddling while Rome burns" comment to be classic foreshadowing...

The CEO seems unusually calm, cool and confident about all this, but "pride does cometh before the fall"...

I wouldn't even be surprised if Tyrell wasn't real and that he was Elliott - or a some kind of figment of his imagination. Unlikely, but who ever knows when it comes to the unpredictability of this show.

I just watched the finally and was going to post the same thing.

1.The parking lot he paid and the attendant said you paid me 2 days worth, no mention of Tyrell.
2.The Evil Corp scene he made his way through the building and then "saw" as sign with Tyrell's name on it.
3.The scene with Tyrell's wife was interesting. She questions him to find out who he is, but not in a normal manner that someone would ask.

                  1. - Looks like Tyrell wasn't there, so Elliot could have taken the car after doing whatever with Tyrell or Tyrell is Elliot.
                  2. - He "saw" a sign, just like he sees signs for "Evil Corp" instead of their real name. Usually an assistant would be outside of the director/executive level employee's office, not where she was. Now she could have been moved since he was fired, but then the name tag wouldn't have been moved there.

                  3. - The wife doesn't ask questions that a normal person would. She asks in a way that fits with trying to figure out who the person in front of her thinks they are. She also says he will be home soon, trying to get him to come inside. Her facial expressions also point to her knowing the person standing in front of her.

Towards the end, she picks up the baby and the tone changes. She switches to sadness, which is weird. If you read into, why pickup the baby? Why become sad? Why move towards a stranger with your baby in your arms at the end of the conversation?

Is Elliot also Tyrell and that is his wife and baby? It just seemed that she was asking questions in order to get Elliot to remember who he was or to become Tyrell again.

We know Tyrell has interacted with Mr Robot/Elliot. we don't know if that is the same as when Mr Robot interacts with people and it is just Elliot imaging it. It would be crazy if true, but it could be possible.

If Elliot was also Tyrell, then why did Tyrell's assistant not recognize him? I don't think they're the same person, and if they are that's kind of overkill IMO

Again you cannot take anything that Elliot sees as the real. Elliot has interactions with Evil Corp because of his job, so he creates Tyrell in his mind. His assistant could just be someone who works there that Elliot saw on one of his trips to Evil Corp, Elliot then creates this person in his mind and uses her as his assistant. He doesn't have to actually play out that character all the time, he can just imagine the interactions.

If you go back, Tyrell and Elliot both started to break down mentally around the same time.

Yes you do have to take some leaps to believe that Tyrell is Elliot, but it's possible with Elliot's mind.

                            Re: Mr Robot

I have to say as a person with a degree in Psychology I almost felt real emotion for Elliot. He is very mentally ill and should probably be in a psychiatric facility.

Just from what I observed in the first season, he suffers from Dissociative Fugue disorder, which is where he forgets who and where he is. Most likely Dissociative Identity disorder, which is having two or more distinct personalities. (Being Mr. Robot) He's also delusional and has hallucinations.

He also likely suffers from major depression. It's amazing he can even get through a day on his own.

I wonder if maybe they will touch more on his mental illness in season 2.

They've done a great job making me feel for him and want him to get help.

Then on the other hand you have Tyrell. Who is likely a psychopath or sociopath.

Elliot is so messed up, anything could have happened. Elliot kills her, Tyrell kills her, Elliot hears she has died and imagines Tyrell killing her.

Like pvarck31 said, I'm shocked he was able to hold a job like that.

I dont recall him being associated with being at that guys house, or that company party, while working at all safe at the same time.

Im all for finding out who he is and what side stories are going on but seems like we're swinging in the dark when we just say that he's just everybody.
