Fascinating show. I kind of wish they would have kept it to ones season though and told a story. Shows like this become popular, they look to stretch them out for the sake of revenue and in the end, they end up with inconsistent writing and storylines that don't go anywhere. See Lost as the perfect example.

There's a link in this thread somewhere to an interview with Rami Malek, who confirmed multiple reports that the show's creator and writer, Sam Rami has planned for the show to run for 4 or 5 seasons and the whole thing has been written already...

The USA Network purchased this with that understanding already in place...

The show is based off an aborted attempt of his to make this into a feature film, which also already had a beginning, middle and end...

Since the show isn't going to befall the usual defection of the original writers and producers, the quality is much more likely to hold up...

Malek, for instance, already knows where all this is going and is quite confident that we haven't even come close to where this is all going...

Season One, if I recall correctly was described by Rami as "an extended introduction"...

My guess is that you're in the minority on that one.

Hey, If they have a plan and the story is already in stone, then that is awesome. I just hated seeing shows like Lost and Heroes turn into garbled messes.

Don't get me wrong the show is awesome, it's a mix between Beautiful Mind and a Cyber Fight Club. Very well written. I just hope it continues to stay solid.

Yeah, meant no criticism Fist. I would actually like the show to hit 6 seasons. I was an early skeptic, but now can't wait for season 2.

Good to see Christian Slater and Mr Robot win Golden Globes. Hard for Rami Malek to beat out Jon Hamm in his final season as Don Draper.

Yeah, Jon Hamm deserves it for the body of work he did but no other tv actor I see now is killing it like Malek. If there is, please let me know.
