Brilliant television. This is the quality I was expecting from True Detective season 2. Super glad Fargo has not disappointed.

Truly a great show, the best on TV right now, IMO. Season 1 was terrific too.

That interrogation scene, wow. The dialogue in this show is just... top notch.

Wonder when this one will be set or will they throw us a curve with a continuation of this season?........probably not.

I thought I saw the hot "Daughter Of Dodd" before, but she is apparently a newcomer. Guess I'll have to wait to see her in something else.

I didn't really care for this week's episode.

And they shot up the house but the granddaughter and Floyd went unscathed from all that gunfire? Ehhh. I usually have no problem suspending my belief, but I dunno.

This episode wasn't nearly as enthralling. Great finish though.

Hey they ducked. I don't know what manpower or other defenses the Gerhardt house had but it's not like Mom and granddaughter were as vulnerable as Sonny Corleone at the toll plaza...they were inside. Plus, grandaughter was still considered a valuable asset by Milligan, so it's not a stretch that Kansas City wanted her still alive. They got Otto, so mission basically accomplished.

I thought there was great tension when Bear takes hot Simone into the woods, but lets not sugarcoat the result. At least show an overhead shot of the bullet(s) bringing her down.

Especially considering they show the up close killing of the Undertaker and his two henchmen just a little later. Show her getting her comuppance as a traitor!

The Undertaker scene reminded me of "Taxi Driver", in the way that the pistol seemed to pop out of Milligan's sleeve and into his hand as if propelled by a similar device used by Travis Bickle...

Since the show is set in the late 70's, you'd think that the Milligan character prob "saw the movie" and picked up a tip to incorporate into his repertoire...

It's that kind of attention to subtle detail that makes this show, for me...

Yep! That was a good scene and so similar to Taxi Driver. I actually rewound and watched that scene a couple times because of that.

They really do an amazing job with the attention to subtle details and background details that you don't necessarily notice right away. They really are doing a great job on this show. Easily one of my top two shows that I most look forward to new episodes of each week.

Not really sure how the butcher would know the following:
                          1. Who Mike Milligan even was
                          2. His name to ask for him by name
                          3. The name of the motel and the phone number of the room he was staying.

A little confused on what that room was that solverson's wife walked into. I'm much better at following shows when I binge watch a season as opposed to watching weekly.

Ed must have gotten the info from someone. Or he's working on behalf of the cops or something.

I suppose re: the house shooting but eh. The Bear/Simone scene was intense as hell. For a second I thought he was going to let her go to "get her away from all this" so to speak.

They had Ed in the station questioning him hard, and it wouldn't shock me if they had spilled that there are people in whatever motel, the war, and who they killed (it would shock me if they didn't). Wouldn't be beyond Ed to call the motel and work the guy on the phone for a name and then number.

I was talking about last week's episode today with my Mom, before tonight's episode...

Firstly, it's Mrs. Solverson's father's house / study (Ted Danson)...

                                Anyway:

She proffered the theory that it's some kind of ancient (Druid?) religion or white magic incantation based attempt to cure his daughter's cancer...

Most plausible thing I've thought of or heard...

I guess we'll find out soon enough!
